Bottle. White lasting head. Clear golden body. Malt aroma. The flavor not with the expected bitterness actually it is quite sweet.

An untypical Christmas beer out of Denmark. Feels a bit like a Duvel clone but without as much character. Intense gold colour with a solid, lasting plug of foam. Surprisingly soft aroma for a 7.9% abv bock. Very light pale malts, a hint of sticky wine and some grassiness. Remiscent of Duvel or perhaps Carlsberg Special Brew. Still, there’s not a great deal going on there. Medium bodied, with quite an oily mouthfeel. Nice soft carbonation. The flavour mix is as subtle as the aroma: sweet and malty, with faint spices, tropical fruit and some peppery bitterness in the finish. Again, very much like Duvel. Very drinkable for its strength but a little short on character. (33cl bottle, trade with Papsoe - thanks Henrik!, bb 23/4/06)

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2010 Bottled. Golden with a small off-white head. Light malty aroma with some hay. Sweet malty flavor with too much hops for a christmas beer. Stinging bitterness in the finish, and some alcohol. Rating:4-2-5-3-11-2.5. 061115

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. As Jul i Underhuset. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Alcohol, malty sweetness and fruit notes in the aroma. Quite weak. Sweet, fruity flavor with some alcohol. Medium to full body with a certain warmth. Decent bitterness in the finish. A rather uninteresting beer, but maybe with some sandwiches. 091024

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2009 Bottled. Very bright golden. Almost no head. A pleasant sweet taste and aftertaste. Went well together with cheese. A different Christmas beer. KI=0

Pours dark golden. Aroma rather skunky, but gets better as the beer warms. A nice bitterness in the flavour.

Bottle. Creamy white fair mostly deminishing head. Warm yellow colour. Moderate malty aroma. Nice flavour and palate. A nice beer.

Bottle. Weak aroma of malt and hobs. Golden with a small somewhat lasting head. Full body and alcoholic taste

Light golden color with okay head but dimishing a bit too quickly. Fine full fruity taste not so sweet but x-mas enough for me.

Bottle, at home. Some taste of malt and hops. The head disappears quickly. The ABV is not felt immediate! Yellow colour? This is not a Christmas beer according to Danish traditions.

Draft @ 1000fryd, Aalborg, DK. Pours golden with a small, fast-disappearing white head. Fruity aroma. Some cereal notes. Flavour is fruity and a bit grainy. Notes of alcohol. Grassy and hoppy notes in the finish. 11-11-05.
