3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer impresses while poured, both in the lovely black color and beautiful light brown foam. The taste is slightly tart and obviously well roasted as a porter should be. It seems a little watery (color and alc. taken into account) but the aftertaste is good and characterized whit lots of chocolate malt.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
13-FEB-2011, bottle @home, from Superbest.
Dark brown, with light brown head.
Nose is roasted coffee like but has an earthy addition that I am not very crazy about.
Taste is much better. Nicely roasted with coffee as the dominant element. Ends a bit thin, but perhaps that only makes it easier to drink?
Very fine porter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black pour with an off white head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, sweet berries, hints of liquorice. Taste is rathger bitter with a hard roasted bitterness, coffee, notes of chocolate and liquorice, maybe iron/ rusty feel in the back? Unbalanced after taste, only leacing the hard roasted malts.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. Top fermented, ABV is 7.5%. Black colour, big and lasting brown head. Nice aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Roasty flavour, notes of burnt toast and strong coffee, hints of dark bitter chocolate and liquorice, but the beer is not very sweet. Fairly bitter finish and aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 Bottle from Kvickly, Nørrebros Runddel.
This beer is black as the darkest night, with a milk chocolate coloured head of impressing density and a good timespan. Unfortunately no lacings.
Medium powerful aroma of coffee, liquorice and chocolate, of which the coffee might be most obvious. Flavor is still marked by coffee and liquorice, but besides from that there appears to be a caramellish malt taste towards the finish, which is marked by alcohol and a solid bitter finish. Palate is creamy and the beer is rather thick.
