COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 500ml bottles.
NOTE: Although named as "Thistly Cross Original Cider 7.2% (Sparkling)" on the producer’s website, the word "Original" does not appear on the bottle labels. Also note that the bottle labels do not clearly indicate whether it is the Still or Sparkling version (which are different).

Our 7.2% Farmhouse Cider is smooth, refreshing and Thistly Cross’ first born. It’s a classic, farmhouse cider made with a blend of Scottish apples. The 6 month maturation makes it refreshing, smooth & fruity.

I started drinking real/craft ale after realising halfway through a can of Strongbow cider that I was drinking something which had more in common with a science lab than an apple orchard. That was about 4 months ago and this is my first cider since. So how is it? Well, it’s appley (prob not a word), it’s smooth, sweet (without being cloying) and overall, very tasty and refreshing. I really wish I had bought more. Nice one.

this is a nice, slightly funky cider. undercarbonated, semi-dry. fruity and fairly tart. aroma’s a bit lacking but there’s a lot of funky apple flavor here.

330ml bottle courtesy of JohnRMurdoch - lighly sparking on the bottle label, yellow with a very thin haze, no head, resin and apple aroma, sweet initially leading to a dry finish

Bottle from Aldi. Bright yellow colour, not much head. Resin apple biscuit aroma. Bitter sweet apple flavour. Decent cider.

The texture is smoother than champagne, the flavor has plenty apples, is lightly carbonated, and marvelously done!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In bottle at Whiski. Pours a clear, pale straw colour with an aroma of apples and alcohol. A similar apple juice flavour with mild carbonation and a dry finish. Alcohol is also quite prominent.

Blonde yellow with bubbles on the perimeter. Apple skin nose with the flavor of apple juice you would by in a typical grocery store chain--sweet and rather wet, with a bit of artificiality to it. Sweet sugary finish

This amazing farmhouse cider is smooth, refreshing and fruity. But it has fabulous balance, thanks to its maturation in whiskey casks. It’s sweet, but not cloyingly so. It’s fresh without tasting too zesty. It’s smooth without being viscous. It’s honestly perfect.

500. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with just a moment of fizzy white stuff settling across the top. Looks lively for a minute, then settles to still. Big sweet red apple nose, very sugary. Creamy medium body with little carb showing. Pleasantly sweet, almost dry enough to be genuinely refreshing but not quite. Stick-ish finish.
