COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A flavoursome cider, made potent in the wood! Matured in ex Glenglassaugh casks for six months to nurture the natural characteristics of the cider, this rarefied, medium dry cider develops, as you might anticipate, into a full bodied Scottish Classic.

Draught at the Michael Balcon JDW, Clear pale gold with a faint aroma of sweet apples. Too sugary and one-dimensional for my taste, not sufficiently redeemed by the distant hints of whisky and lemon.

Draft at the Grumpy Toe .. . Pours a very light gold .. No real foam .. Sweetness is bold, whisky is balanced and tasty .. Nothing too complex but a nice cider sipper.. . . Your ears look like jug ears

Bottle. Thanks rayaron. Very pale yellow. Smell of sulphur, wood, green apples and white wine. Sweet, woody, spicy, notes of citrus and green apples. Medium-bodied, OK, but too sweet.

Bottle sample. Very clear and light yellowish, somewhat watery, with no head. Aroma of apple with notes of wood. Sweet flavor of apple, a bit alcoholic, notes of citrus (lemon), sugary with notes of wood, dry. Soft carbonation, light-bodied.

Clear pale golden colour. Light funky aroma, apple, light wood, sweet vanilla. Bit sweet flavour, apple, caramel. Finish apple, wood, caramel.

Sampled draft @ “Kaapse Brouwers 1st Anniversary Beer Festival”. Pale golden. Nose is far sweeter than I anticipated, sweet vanilla & oak mixed with sweet apples, making it bit of a one-noted combination. Taste is sweet apples, white sugar, lots of candy & light vanilla / sweet oak. Okay but expected more, others seemed to love it more than I did. I know nothing about cider.

Bottle. Nice apple aroma with a hint of whiskey aroma. Clear golden color with no head. Nice apple flavor with a nice light whiskey barrel flavor. Med, appropriate body. Overall, a pretty nice cider. Interesting with a light wood flavor.
