COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A flavoursome cider, made potent in the wood! Matured in ex Glenglassaugh casks for six months to nurture the natural characteristics of the cider, this rarefied, medium dry cider develops, as you might anticipate, into a full bodied Scottish Classic.

Pale lemon with fair white head. Aromas of apples, traces of whisky and heather. Taste quite sweet, probably too sweet. Negligible carbonation. Too sweet to be thirst-quenching bur otherwise very good.

Bottle sample at a wood-aged beers tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Clear very pale golden, white-wine-like color. Aroma of whiskey, green apples, alcohol, vanilla, wood and citric notes. Sweet flavor, slightly sourish, with green apples, sugar, wood, vanilla and a drier alcoholic finish. OK, too alcoholic for my liking.

I find it hard to rate a cider because I’m generally not a fan of the style. I found this one quite drinkable, though I had hoped for more pronounced cask flavours. For now, this rating will have to do.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nose is surprisingly whisky forward with some vinous and wood characteristics behind granny smith. Taste is mild whisky with heavy and very ripe granny smith notes, fresh cut apple, grass and a little earth. Kind of works and isn’t too sweet. Solid stuff

On tap at in the wildeman. Clear very pale gold, still, lots of floaties. Aroma is quite shocking, at first whiff I get a lot of sulphur, slowly as it opens I pick up whisky aromas, light smoke, and finally a more cidery aroma. Taste is tart apples, nice lingering smoky whiskey finish. Light palate, dry, low carbonation. Ok.
