Cider is matured in Whisky Casks from Glen Moray Distillery. Just enough time passes for the cider to absorb the distinctive tones of the oak and Highland single malt.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle poured to a snifter showing a clear & bright, light golden color, with a quick, white layer of modest foam, and light spots of lacing that also faded. The nose was floral, ripe apple & seeds, and a hint of whisky. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was sweet & sugary, with somewhat of a thin & watery texture. Some liveliness to the effervescence would have greatly helped.

Faint, faint whisky-notes, if any. Perry-aroma. Light golden coloured and clear. No head. Sweet flavor.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a hazy pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium sweet apples along with subdued whisky. Flavour is likewise pretty mellow on the whiskey, with medium sweetness from the apples upfront, light apple skins, and fairly high residual sweetness, venturing into cloying territory. Would like more whiskey. Unexciting and lacking complexity, and too cloying, but easy to drink.

It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma has vanilla, apples, oak and dry white wine. It has a medium body with a lot of soft carbonation. The taste has rich red apples, vanilla, spices and some astringency. The finish shows a touch of whiskey. Pretty nice.

I’m very very picky when it comes to cider, and this is really really good cider - true to the apples. there’s a wonderful whisper of honey, almost a cyser that ostensibly comes from the oak casks. For comparison, my next top ciders are JK Scrumpy’s Cider and Downeast Cider. This is filtered, but tastes nothing like the champagne style ciders that are bad.

Aroma is apples and mild notes of bandaid and whisky/oak. The flavor is apples, mild whisky/oak, fruit, bandaid and a tart/slight heat in the finish.

Bag in a box at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear bright gold colour lasting white head. Apple juice aroma not much whisky. Some sweetness and orange juice from the whisky. Slight whisky aroma touch of oak on the finish.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a pale golden colour, almost no head. Aroma is applish, quite faint, but taste is simply amazing: very strong and rich, apple but also other fruit and things going on in the background. Whisky casks really help the cider develop; I was dubious before, but now I know it’s true.

33cl bottle at home. Clear transparent with no head. Quite some carbonation on a light to medium body. Pretty sweet with some oaky tones. Although I’m not that much of a cider fan, this is quite nice.
