In the finest Bavarian tradition, Artisan Reserve has been crafted from an all malt brew with Hallertau Tradition hops. with low temperature fermentation and an extended maturation, this unpasteurized Pilsner reflects the joy of tasting beer fresh from the brewery.

Not real good, some nasty banana like esters aroma which follows through. I don’t know if this is a bad one but I suspect not. A bit pretentious. Disappointed by Coopers lately (apart from the lovely stout), it shouldn’t be that hard given your heritage to produce a decent complex craft beer fellas, how about doing something different instead of the variation on-a-theme offers on hand. Stop hiding behind the beard of the serious looking guy on the label and take some risks ffs.

355ml bottle into glass. Fresh sweet almost creamy aroma. Pale yellow beer with many bubbles, small but solid head. Thin, slight mineral water mouthfeel. The taste is an increasing hop bitterness leading to a bitter lemon/pepper finish. It’s OK.

(Bottle) Clear straw / golden with small head that vanished quickly. Aroma a mix of vege, cardboard and grassy hints. Light bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Crisp tart start over some light maltiness, develops some spiciness and some bitterness. It’s ok, but not special.

"fresh from the brewery" - pity this part is lost when trying here in NZ. Vibrancy lost. Sad Panda.

BB 12Nov14. Poured a clear golden colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Carbonation very high and coarse. Aroma of yeast and a hint of grainy malt. Taste strongly of semi-sweet malt and with a subtle bitterness; pretty bland on the flavour side. Light body, a bit watery. Clean with a slightly sour finish. Turns sour as the beer warms. More lager-like than pilsner.

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a perfectly clear golden amber with a fluffy white head and moderate carbonation. Aromas are faint but some grass, apple, cracker and citrus come through. Taste is sweet apple at the front end before some prickly hops emerge. Gentle citrus at the end. Seems like there might be something reminiscent of Belgian yeast in there. As pilsners go, this is quite a good one.
