Crisp and citrusy, this India Pale Ale derives its atypical dark copper brown color from malted chocolate wheat. Heavily hopped, the Chocolate Orange IPA’s bitterness blends with the dark chocolate flavors of the cocoa nibs added during fermentation. Those subtle chocolate notes rest behind a floral bouquet, enhanced by additions of bitter orange peel and dry hopping with Citra.

Not a bad beer just not what I was looking for. Citrus notes at first and the roasted cocoa comes way late. Flavors don't blend we'll just ok ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bot @ room temp. Orange chocolate? heheheh, I’d like to taste that. Its just a big fat terribly on style cross between an impy IPA and a black IPA. Go figger. Perhaps the orange chocolate is in the sweet nose only? Mouth coating oily IPA.

Poured from the tap at the brewery into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear dark brown with orange highlights and a small white head. The aroma is oranges, chocolate and some yeasty bread. The taste is chocolate malt with some hops at the end.

On tap. Reddish amber pour with an off-white head, Citrus hops, sweet malt and light chocolate in the aroma and taste. Not overly hoppy but a nice beer nonetheless.

Pours dark brown with see thru. Tan fluffy head. The aroma is strong of chocolate, citrus and grapefruit. It starts with bitter caramel and toast. torwands the end chocolate, grapefruit ditrus, orange. Some earthy too. Body is medium to light little watery. Bitterness through. Overall good ipa on a cold night.

Real nice impression from tap. Dark amber and a rich aroma of cocoa and some orange zest. Taste is rich and full of the choc and orange as well. Like from me.

Dark brown medium bodied hoppy IPA. Citra hops take prominence, chocolate and orange flavors are subtle. Unique beer, thinking it may be better classified as a Black IPA.

Trevlig!

Clear brown with light carbonation, sizeable foamy head. Aroma of hops with faint orange. More like a brown ale than an IPaA. Bitter finish with orange peel. Not so great, but ok.

Draft at the Irish Pol. Mostly clear very dark brown pour with a large off-white foamy head. Good amount of thin lace. Strong good cocoa notes in the nose and finish, though the actual taste of the chocolate during is more glossy and slightly artificial. The orange element is further back than expected - present but unpronounced. In fact the citrus flavors from the Citra hops are more in control. There is also a mildly deep malt background with notes of plums, prunes, blackberries and currants that provides richer fruit elements. Lots of dark caramel flavors as well. At 100 IBUs there is also a strong spicy hop bite. The whole experience is rather wild. Not fantastic but certainly not boring.
