Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a semi-hazy dark amber color with a large, creamy, light tan head with good retention, cling, and lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of light caramel malt and sugar mixed with some earthy, grainy, and light citrus hop flavors. The beer was mostly bitter with flavors of grain and citrus, along with some straw and a lightly sweet maltyness. The beer had a fairly full mouthfeel with a thicker feel and was a bit dry with ample carbonation. Thank you to Siobhan for the Christmas present.

This is one of my favorite IPAs. Rich caramel flavors with a crisp citrusy hoppy taste at the end. Not overly hoppy and not incredibly alcoholic. A great session IPA.

Aroma - malt is somewhat muted under the resiny hops, you know this will be oily. The bark is bigger than the bite. Appearance - is a nice orange body with a full blown white head. The head dissipates, but leaves an amazing lace. Full on stockings!!! Whaaaat!!! Taste - the taste is a medium bitter, with a nice pine, some oil, and a dough malt. Palate - the body is medium, the texture on the oily side, the finish sort of abrupt for an IPA with only a mild bitter wave.

12oz bottle from Whole Foods in Greenville, SC. Copper-orange pour with a fluffy light tan head. Aroma of toasty malt, caramel, candy. Tastes on the sweet malty side also - with citrus and light pepper. Floral and slightly astringent in the finish. 6.0

Bottle from Total Wine in Stuart. Pours a golden orange with a white head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma has heavy sour fruits, with citrus and toffee. Somewhat earthy. Taste is of grapefruit, lemon zest, crystal malts and some sour fruits. Medium bodied and dry. Finishes bitter with some sourness. No date on the bottle so hoping it is just old and not bad. Not a fan.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2015 Itís a good IPA, it just doesnít seem all that original or different from whatís currently out there. Lots of good grapefruit flavor and a darker hue. Thatí s about all thatís worth pointing out.

Very average IPA. Itís OK (except for some cardboard quality) but nothing distinguishing about it all.

Welcoming citrus aroma, amber medium bodied with sharp bitterness and caramel malt backbone. Textbook well built India Pale Ale.

The beer looked quite nice, with a clear, orange-amber body, and a large head. The smell was too mild for the style, with perfumey hops and toasted malts. The taste was quite bitter, with a metallic tang. There was caramel malt besides the hop bitterness, and not much else. The finish was very dry. The beer was among a mixed six pack of IPAís I picked up at the store last week. I doubt I will go back for this one again very soon. It wasnít bad, just not memorable.
