Nice aromatics right off the bat! Opened the bottle and bam to the face! Lots of bitter up front followed by some nice normal IPA notes and tastes.

Dark gold body. The aroma had cedar, and reminded me of fresh mountain air. The taste had pine needles and bread crust. Refreshing tangerines. There is also a little light tobacco. Nice brew.

draught@ the saucer. Very good IPA, w/ fresh hops up front followed by sweet malt linger. Extremely easy considering the hop bite, grapefruits.

On tap at the Durham WBF. Clear gold with a white head. Nice lace. Citrusy and earthy with a mild caramel sweetness. Medium-full bodied. Good.

Draft sample at KBJ08. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy and earthy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. A solid beer.

Bottle thanks to tronraner, the last brew left from our trade unfortunately. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head and tons of lacing. The aroma is sweet grapefruit hops, some caramel also. The flavor is very nice; a smooth and flavorful citrus hop, mostly grapefruit, a lot of balance achieved by a biscuit like malt and some caramel. Very nice and quaffable.

Starts off strong, good smell and color, but the flavor doesn’t match the intensity of the nose- it just dissipates too quickly. At Beerfest Miami 09

Deep red, gummy thick head. Dry malt, brittle leafy hop aroma. Toasty, altogether average and tasty. Little leathery.

12 oz bottle. Small carbonation in an amber pour with a medium white head. Quite a malty aroma with a touch of citrus. Pine like flavors with a touch of spice. Malt is there just to make the hops less bracing. Fairly good. Medium body dry finish.

I had this sitting in my cellar for nearly a year from Secret Santa back in 2008. From 12-oz bottle pours a semi-clear amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of mostly caramel malt with some citrus and floral hops. Taste is medium bodied, some dry bitterness with toasted biscuity malt, and plenty of hops in flavor and bitterness. Finish is semi-dry with a floral hop aftertaste, some light dill and mild bitterness. A solid IPA that is definitely in between a British IPA and a West Coast caliber IPA.
