Quite disappointed by this one. We usually like an oatmeal stout. At least find it drinkable, but not this one. Better choices out there.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours opaque, dark mahogany with a thin tan head that leaves very little lacing in the class. Aroma is alcohol and dark fruits. Taste is full bodied with a huge bitter coffee taste on the back end and a ton of roasted malt. Yes, itís a coffee oatmeal stout. Itís probably a bit over done. Iíve had worse, but Iíve had better.

On tap at Isaac Newtons with Buddy. Aroma of hazelnut coffee, fake chocolate syrup, and malt. Pours black with a decent white head. Taste is fake french vanilla coffee, slight cocoa, and a syruppy vanilla coffee finish. Sticky and fake tasting. This was pretty bad.

Not a bad oatmeal stout from a local brewery. This is probable one of my favorite brews from this brewery.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an opaque brownish black from the bottle worth thin lacy tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma is cold brewed coffee with hints of chocolate and soy, roast opens as it warms. Taste follows, drop the soy, add more coffee. Silky smooth mouth with no hint of the booze. Pretty nice breakfast beer.

Bottle from Samís Quik shop. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves a bit of lacing in the glass. Fairly big coffee on the nose. Lots of coffee on the tongue which naturally lingers after you finish it. Itís a little thin on the tongue but certainly very drinkable.

12oz bottle from Harrikaís Brew Haus. Black pour, zero visibility with fully lasting one finger thick frothy light brown head. Excellent lacing. Milk chocolate, coffee bean, dark malt, booze aromas. Light roasted coffee up front with a short milk chocolate finish. Dry texture, soft carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Very dark brown, near black body beneath a light tan head thatís a bit on the thin side.
Smell: Roasty nose of darkened malts with just a hint of basic chocolate and a touch of dark fruit.
Taste: A light chary, ashen roast with a minimal backing of chocolate and estery fruitiness. Minimal hop character, bitterness. While waiting for the coffee character and some soft, succulent oats to burst forward, well, thatís when you hit the drying, lightly fruity finish with a bit of alcohol. This ride is over.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Just a bit of medium carbonation.
Overall: A little thin and lackluster considering the words "oatmeal" and "coffee" being prominently featuring in its name.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle ($2.49) purchased at Johnís Grocery and poured into a pint glass at home. Almost black with a frothy tan head. Strong coffee and espresso aroma with roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla and light caramel. Similar flavor, adding a mild earthy bitterness and a touch of ash. Medium body, creamy and pretty smooth, easy to drink. Pretty good. First rating from SC.

Thanks to drowland for the share.
Oily dark brown pour. Fruit and coffee in the aroma. Real burnt and sweet in the taste. Some chocolates and hops. High carbonation. Pretty mediocre.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
3/22/14. 12oz bottle from 5 Points. Not quite black pour, more of a dark brown, almost black, I guess, with a small khaki head that fades and doesnít lace much. Burnt cheap coffee aroma, fruity esters, a bit of an alcohol burn... not too promising. Sweet flavor, a little fruity, burnt coffee, ashy, some dark chocolate. Lightly slick mouthfeel killed by burning carbonation. Meh.
