Capa (1970) - Manama, BAHRAIN - JAN 12, 2013
Dark with a tan head. Earthy and light citrus hops, light roasted malt, a bit of chocolate. Nice full body. Earthy hop, citrus, tart, coffee bean. Nothing out of the ordinary but a solid porter and one I could have a couple rounds of at the bar. Good stuff.

From notes. Dark black brown body, small pale tan head, moderate lacing. Nose is roasted coffee and chocolate. Simple, but non-offensive. Flavor shows a similar two-note profile. Medium to full bodied, a little sweet, muddled finish.

Nice little porter. Pours a dark brown with a moderate head. Good level of roasted malts to it, and the beer sits easily on the palate, which is not always the case with porters. Very enjoyable.

Bottle from Appalachian Vintner. Pours black with an inch of khaki foam. Robust maltiness on the nose with a bit of raisin. Nice weight on the tongue. Finishes with a good amount of bitterness. Solid!

TURDFERGUSON (3945) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Bottle. Reddish brown with a fast fading tan head. Nose is light cherry skin tartness, roast, cocoa. Flavor is similar, a tad metallic and ashy. These TC beers are really hit or miss but I'm surprised and impressed by their quality control. A tad thin and cherry skin bitterness in the finish. A tad overcarbonated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

$2 bottle from gbx 7/10/11. dark porter color with a pale brown head...soft and spongy. mild aroma...kinda jaeger-y... wood, lactose, nuts, black raisins and roast. the flavor shares the notes from the aroma but tosses in molasses, choco, spicy hops, herbals, and ashiness. it’s medium bodied but prickly...creamy yet crisp and dry.6/4/7/4/15
