4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I'm not usually one for gimmick tastes in my beer, but the vanilla in this really works. Probably the greatest thing to come out of the Carolinas...

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours yellow, clear, small white head and medium lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruit and grain. Taste is sweet, some grain, some vanilla hints but mostly malts. Enjoyable, refreshing, not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Didn't expect much from a 'cream ale' but this is really tasty. Yellow pour from can at Edison. White thin head. Lemon and vanilla notes. Just a poundable beer

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/15/2013. A moderate gusher upon opening. Pours slightly hazy bright golden color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light vanilla, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light vanilla notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, vanilla, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, vanilla, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and vanilla flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance and some slightly cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected for 4.5%. Overall this is a solid cream ale. Good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and vanilla flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light and clean but more reminiscent of a hefeweizen than a cream ale. Not a whole lot going on in the way of aroma and flavor, but refreshing nonetheless.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours clear, light gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is cereal and light caramel malts, vanilla, and very faint nuttiness. Flavor is smooth and malty with subtle vanilla and caramel sweetness and some faint cream ale yeast esters. Light body and medium carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
From a bottle. Pours clear gold with a thin off white head. Smells like vanilla, caramel, fruity, a little nutty, and a little spice. Tastes like vanilla, rather sweet and a little thin on the flavor.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a golden color with a white one finger head, lots of bubbles. The aroma is a like a regular cream ale with maybe a little vanilla. Taste is okay with a little bit of vanilla coming through. The aftertaste is not good though. Kind of a cardboard type of aftertaste and my mouth got very dry. Strange.
