COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light-bodied and golden American style cream ale with a highly refreshing palate and an undertone flavor of pure vanilla essence.

A bright medium gold colored brew with a thin off white head. Sugar cookies! This is mostly what I smell. There is also some hay. This tastes a lot more dry than I expected. There is also lots of wood and some hints of the sugar cookie character, but it is very light and in the finish. A little bit herbal, this one is decent. The vanilla is barely detected. Not one of Thomas Creek’s best efforts.

Pours a golden yellow color with a thin white head. Solid lacing. Aroma of grain, citrus, and hint of vanilla. Creamy mouth feel with citrus, vanilla, and a hint of grain flavor. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle
As far as cream ales go this one was not too bad. That said it was hardly remarkable. For a simple session beer it gets the job done. Maybe I would pick up another if they were on sale but there are a number of more local options instead.

Aroma / Appearance - The body looks like carbonated vanilla cream soda with a pillowy soft head. Vanilla extract, cream filling from a custard donut, and other sweet aspects smell more like a fountain drink than a beer.

Flavor / Palate - Vanilla and sugar blend into a saccharine combination that refreshed the palate. As delicate as it is the taste ranges from inoffensive to just enough flavor to avoid being dull. This is a fine cream ale for the most part.

Pours with a very thick head. Hints of vanilla to the those are inviting, but the taste ends up being a relatively low quality cream ale with some slight sweetness.

Patrickctenchi (3646) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Pours slightly hazy, lemon-gold with a tall frothy/lumpy head. Scent is faint....apple...no vanilla to speak of...sweet grain. Taste is slightly sour grainy malt....light. ...maybe a touch of vanilla as it warms (though, not much) It’s ok, but not at all what the name/description leads you to believe. Aftertaste is a bit unpleasant.

Neutral aroma, no real hints of vanilla. Golden hay color. Upon taste you get a hint of vanilla in your nose. Other than that, this beer has mote of an grainy flavor, with a distinct aftertaste.

No real aroma. Appearance is average. Taste is average like any run of the mill ale but with a slight hint of vanilla. Nothing special and very one-note but overall okay and enjoyable.

Pours a yellow with a white head and minimal lacing. The aroma is bready while the taste is cake-like. The mouthfeel is medium-light and effervescent. It was an enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle. Pours pale yellow with a small, white head. The aroma is weak piney hops, caramel, and hay. The flavor is faintly bitter, and a little sweet. The palate is light to medium, sticky, and a little astringent. Overall, this is a little heavy for a cream ale, with a forward hop profile, relatively. It is neither refreshing nor strong, and I wouldn’t have noticed the vanilla except for the bottle label. The flavor is unpleasant, and gets worse in the aftertaste. To quote Joe: "I need to drink some milk now."
