Thin dark brown pour, minimal tan head, not much lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and bitter chocolate. I was expecting this to be sweeter but it has a moderately bitter finish. For the most part it’s a pretty decent beer, it needs to be a bit thicker and maybe kick the ABV up a bit. My thanks to Sharon in CT. for dragging this half way across the country!

Bottle in Brooklyn. Opaque black color, small beige head. Aroma has quite delicious chocolate. Medium-bodied. Very chocolaty flavor, not artifical-like. Some coffee too. Just needs more ABV boost.

Too thin for a stout. Too sour up front. Don't have a lot to say. Chocolate I guess. I taste the truffle. But I wouldn't but it again. Unfortunately it's a six pack. Oh well. I'll give it away, not special. Weak. Not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of Adam, Prince of Mogadishu, and the Nairobi mafia. Thank you, your royal highness, for getting me to 100 Connecticut ratings without having to actually set foot in the state again. Completely black color, large dark brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of rich dark milk chocolate. Taste is sweet Hershey’s syrup. Medium to light body. Tasty enough.

Deep chocolate aroma, dark with a strong tan head. Smooth, very chocolatey. Roasty malt with a hint of coffee and toast beneath that. Not overly creamy.

Pours stout black with no head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and hint of coffee. Lots of chocolate flavor with lactose, roasted malt, and some coffee. Very nice

Floppy head, no lacing. Thin texture, medium body, bright mouthfeel. Acidic, dry, moderate bitterness, tart, lean, uninteresting finish. Good chocolate flavor, nothing else. Great promising label, a big disappointment Chocolate stout, 7.1% abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours dark browniah black with tan head. Nose was cacao, roasty dark malt. Tastes malty, with cacao, some sweetness, and some custardy notes late. Stayed fairly sweet.
