500ml at Toad in the Hole. Foggy deep orange with small, lasting foam. Floral, dusty, minty, honey aromas. Firm yet gentle sweetness, chipper spice notes, and again hints of dust. A little bit of coagulance at the back of the throat, but otherwise nothing untoward in the mouthfeel. Very bright, balanced, drinkable, and complex.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2012 Cask at the Euston Tap, 1st Dec 2010. Orange, very small white head. Lovely marmalade nose with resin and underlying sharper citrus notes. Resinous, rich flavour. Great weight - heavy enough for you to respect it but light enough to drink by the pint. Just the right amount of ’cling’ in the mouth. Lovely beer. Additional notes, bottle from Drink of Fulham (brewed Feb 09, bottled Oct 2010), drunk 8th March 2012. Still superb - really delivers what the label promises: sandalwood and honey on the nose, liquorice bittterness at the finish.

Totally awesome old ale and not far off fillers va in terms of elegance. Beautiful colour and the aroma's all plums and raisins. Uncredible.

Gravity, Euston Tap Very interesting aroma. Loads of aromatic spices, herbs, fresh bread, just love spices so this is great for me,. Thick white lacing. grassy and floral hop bite, citrus, bread, spices and herbs. I love spices in a beer and am definitely digging this.

Bottle. Bronze leaning towards orange appearance. Small head and a combination of citrus and hops. Comlex and interesting flavours. The name was a bit off putting. The coalition ( government ) is evil, this beer is lovely.

500ml bottle (Bacchanalia, Cambridge) BB2014/02 Drunk 2015/02
Beautifully nutty aroma, walnut, some blackcurrant leaf. Nice orange, touch of a haze, small tight head. Beautiful malty body, it has a wonderful mellowness to it, an aged sophistication. Hops are dry and aged, a little bit like a dusty attic. But the sweetness from the plums is lovely too. Palate is remarkably light, there’s no 7.3% here, or if there is, it’s so well integrated into the rest of the tastes that it’s not noticeable at all. Finish is dry, such nice earthy hops. This gives me everything short of "wow", so has to be 3.9. If one aspect could have broken through the wow boundary, it could have been meteoric.

500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear dark amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Raisins, prunes, malty, sweet, fruity notes in aroma. Lovely aroma. Plum stones. caramel, raisins with stones in taste. Feels bit thin, but still delicious. Nice one!

Cask at the Euston Tap. Pours clear, rich gold with a thick, white cream head. Strongly attenuated malt aroma with notes of honey, toffee and lightly burnt sugar. Very nice flavor, with more attenuated sugar, caramel, bread, and hints of booze. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation and mild warmth. Thinner in body than I would have expected. Relatively short finish, lightly warming, hinting of sugar, alcohol and toffee. Starts great in the nose but struggles a bit to keep it up. Still, overall a pretty nice beer.
