COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby red, with an orangey fruity malt character. The spicy, resinous, lemony Goldings absolutely sing through the beer combining beautifully with the malt, and the bitterness is powerful and lasting, punching through the residual sweetness.

Cask Conditioned handpump Mr Foleys Leeds. A chestnut coloured bert with a big whtish head and lacing. Jammy fruit abounds. Very malty. Some hedgerow hoppiness. A big chewy, perhaps over chewy body. Good bitterness at the end. It’s OK but nowt special.

Cask, gravity at Boreft Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands, 24.09.11 Pours amber with a slight orangey hue to it, good clarity. Initially quite spicy with little wafts of spiciness coming back down my nostrils. This is lovely, it has a great balance of bitter & sweetness, the Goldings hops come across really well lightly lemony but showing throughout. I really liked this it’s a collaborative corker from Thornbridge & Kernel! A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

(Gravity cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 25 Nov 2011) Brownish amber colour with brief, bubbly head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, dried fruit and earthy hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, citrus and a generous earthy/citric bitterness in a long finish. More than medium body, slightly sweetish. Tasty and quite well balanced. Very nice.

Cask at CP&K. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thick bubbly off-white head. The nose is wood, fruity berry, sherry/port and warming spice. The taste is chocolate, fruity tang, bitter-sweet, wood, big hop bitterness, sherry, raisin, fig, red grape, spice and alcohol warmth with a dry-woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A tasty, hoppy old ale. Interesting.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen. Named "Coalition Burton Ale". Deep brown color. Nicely boisterous tan head. Taste is of roasted coffee and black cherry. Sweet taste. Very nice, though I don’t know much about the Burton Ale style!
