Looks great - dark, dark tight head. Lovely rich roasty aroma, touch of coffee. Woh, this is wonderful in the mouth, lovely coffee. Massive drinkability, just what a porter should be. Love the roast. If there is coffee in this, I will revisit this and dock it points, but if this is brewed just with malts this is a materpiece.

Chilled bottle, BB Nov 2013. Pours black, decent sized head. Smell - smoke, ashy, yeasty. Taste - a bit sharp initially, yeasty, sweet and sour sauce, roasty, ashy. Not getting a lot of mocha. Iíll admit that I havenít stored this beer well over the last couple of months, and it certainly tastes as though it may be past its best. Still a drinkable and interesting beer though.

0.5l bottle. Lovely pour on this one, it has a really big dark brown chocolate head thatís leaving some lively lacing and is quite long living and the beer itself is a tone lighter than black, but Iím calling it black . Looks really good, and I canít say anything else for the aroma. Lots of sweet dark mocha aromas with dark fresh grounded coffee, a strong milk chocolate sweetness like a chocolate gnash mixed with ice cream. Lovely. Yeah, this is really good stuff. Lots of dark roasted espresso tones, but not as overwhelmingly strong as an espresso. It has a good oily mouthfeel with a comfortable prickling carbonation level. You want a new sip right after youíve set the glass back on the table, and thatís often a good thing. Actually canít canít imagine how that should be done thing.. Rich roasted, not burned and it also has a slightly coffee acidic hint in the chocolaty finish. A delightful beer on a lovely day. 30.05.2013
