We all know that drinking beer is a congenital pastime and brewing beer can be just as fraternal. This collaboration between Rob Lovatt of Thornbridge and Jessica Heidrich St. Eriks is testament to the friendship and inspiration that brewing can produce. This Imperial Raspberry Stout pours rich and dark with aromas and tastes of liquorice and chocolate, complimented by the generous infusion of prime Scottish raspberries. Hops: Bramling Cross. (Bottle) Black colour with lasting, creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of raspberries, liquorice, dark chocolate and black coffee. Malty, fruity, slightly tart taste with liquorice, raspberries, dark chocolate, black rye bread, black coffee and a finish with a balanced roasty bitterness and a slight raspberry sourness. Full body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel. A slight sweetness lurking in the sourness. Very interesting and well made beer, with a generous raspberry character. Great balance, with alcohol well hidden. Very nice.

500ml bottle. Pours dark with a persistent creamy off-white head. Tantalising raspberry pips aroma. Taste is smooth and indulgent. Very desert-like with it’s rich raspberry-topped creamy chocolate character. Smooth and decadent, it really is something else.
