COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all know that drinking beer is a congenital pastime and brewing beer can be just as fraternal. This collaboration between Rob Lovatt of Thornbridge and Jessica Heidrich St. Eriks is testament to the friendship and inspiration that brewing can produce. This Imperial Raspberry Stout pours rich and dark with aromas and tastes of liquorice and chocolate, complimented by the generous infusion of prime Scottish raspberries. Hops: Bramling Cross. Bottle from Dranken Geers. Dark brown colour, thin head. Soft carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and a lot of raspberries. Sweet and bitter with light tart notes from the berries. Strange combination but not bad at all.

Draught @ Oluthuone Leskinen. This rastberry bomb is a mix of roasty imp and bucketful of rastberries. The berries are a bit too overwhelming creating some kind of a sweet and sour combination. I drank this without any problems but wouldn’t consider buying again.

Lively moving dark cream to tan head over black beer. Fruity, bit earthy. Difficult to pinpoint raspberries. Bit of rainwater. Sourish stoutflavour enhanced by the fruit. Main taste is roasted, sweeter, liquorice, finish burnt. Retronasal finally raspberry aroma. In the aftertaste, the sourish flavours return, buttermilk, with a mineral touch. Well-bodied, very slick, velvety despite a near fizzy carbonation. I keep finding it a weird combination - stout and raspberries. The latter do change the character, sure enough, but I really think that the gain in complexity is minimal - which is not the case with lighter colourmalted beers.

Roodzwarte kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt fruitig, frambozen, snoep. Smaakt fruitig, framboos. Daar blijft het bij.

Pours a dark red orange beer with a good beige head. Smells raspberry. And cant smell really much than that. Tastes raspberry, little sour, licorice, roasted and quite bitter. I like. Average carbo, medium body and a sticky texture.
