COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all know that drinking beer is a congenital pastime and brewing beer can be just as fraternal. This collaboration between Rob Lovatt of Thornbridge and Jessica Heidrich St. Eriks is testament to the friendship and inspiration that brewing can produce. This Imperial Raspberry Stout pours rich and dark with aromas and tastes of liquorice and chocolate, complimented by the generous infusion of prime Scottish raspberries. Hops: Bramling Cross. Bottle bought from greystones pub, Sheffield. Dark brown, with a tan head. Strong raspberry aroma with chocolate and rich dark malts. Similar taste, but with a tartness from the raspberries. Lovely viscous mouthfeel. Unusual, but good.

Lively moving dark cream to tan head over black beer. Fruity, bit earthy. Difficult to pinpoint raspberries. Bit of rainwater. Sourish stoutflavour enhanced by the fruit. Main taste is roasted, sweeter, liquorice, finish burnt. Retronasal finally raspberry aroma. In the aftertaste, the sourish flavours return, buttermilk, with a mineral touch. Well-bodied, very slick, velvety despite a near fizzy carbonation. I keep finding it a weird combination - stout and raspberries. The latter do change the character, sure enough, but I really think that the gain in complexity is minimal - which is not the case with lighter colourmalted beers.

Roodzwarte kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt fruitig, frambozen, snoep. Smaakt fruitig, framboos. Daar blijft het bij.

Pours a dark red orange beer with a good beige head. Smells raspberry. And cant smell really much than that. Tastes raspberry, little sour, licorice, roasted and quite bitter. I like. Average carbo, medium body and a sticky texture.

Black colour, mocca head. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate, liquorice. Taste is light sour, a bit bitter and light sweet. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation. Interesting, a lot of raspberries in this stout

Bottle with Ruslan, Rachel and Tino. Pours Black with an off-White head. Martin summed it up best when he said it smelled like a cornetto. Chocolate and Raspberry. The taste is quite tart raspberry and roasted malt. low sweetness but reasonable acidity. I was pretty exited about this one but ultimately it wasn’t everything I wanted it to be. Interesting and original though and very nice indeed.

Bottle, at Øltorget ,Vulkan. A gorgeous looking beer, black in color and topped by a dense, finger-thick, dark beige head. The aroma has roasted malts dominating, the raspberries coming strong after a while, and there’s also some coffee notes and woody hints. Surprisingly there’s no alcohol to be detected. It’s vinous on the palate, full-bodied, smooth and lightly warming. Berries, coffee and some roasted malts in the flavor. Lasting raspberry flavor that gets a bit too much, else it’s sure a nice and tasteful beer. On the other hand, perhaps it needs this much raspberry. 140503

Odd taste really, but I like the aroma of it. Like the ambition, not the beer.........

Shared bottle at Cardinal. Black, light brown foam. Aroma dominated by raspberry. Very complex taste; some roasted tones, sourness, much raspberry. Quite light altogether, considering that it has 10 % alcohol. Very nice!
