Backlog. From cask at Station Buffet Bar, Stalybridge, on The Transpennine Real Ale Trail with KL and LH 09.05.15. Clear nutty brown. Persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma of hops, bitter berries, caramel and sweet malt. Similar taste, with nuts. Good drinkability. Balanced, with medium bitterness.

Cask at the Magpie, dark mahogany with a lasting coarse off-white ring and light aromas of nuts and woody red fruit. Palate is tart fruit and wet oak, earthy hops, notes of coffee, cocoa and treacle in the finish.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co. High fluffy lasting off-white head. Clear dark brown body. Mild roasted malt caramel fruity aroma. Relativly bitter roasted malt coffee flavor with low carbonation and a long bitter finish.

At Craft Clerkenwell, London. Clear Amber/brownish beer with a decent offwhite head. Malty caramel aroma,chocolate, cocoa some hop notes. Roasted chocolate flavor, cocoa, hops, perfume notes, a bit fruity. Kinda pleasant.

Cask at The Old Hall Inn, Whitehough, Derbyshire, £2.95/pint.
Pours dark amber/ruby with a creamy, off-white head. Took a while to settle but a good looking beer in the end. Aroma quite weak with some light cereal and earthiness. Nutty bitterness to flavour well balanced with grass and malty caramel sweetness. Short, malty finish, refreshingly smooth on palate.

Half pint on tap at the Navy Volunteer in Bristol. Read-brown with bubbly head. Light maltiness, smooth, slightly bitter. A bit plain though. Seems to have a hint of crystal malt, with dry-bitter finish. Light malty aroma.

Cask at stags head, Sheffield. Reddish brown ale (maybe a bit pale), with a decent frothy off white head. Aroma of chestnuts and caramel and treacle. Taste is similar but more so, with added nuttiness. Medium bodied.

Clear chestnut brown with a good sized beige head that retains well, good lacing ensues.
Nose is brown bread, tobacco, earthy, dull hop rinse, toffee, tea bags.
Taste comprises toffee, light cocoa dusting, dark fruit rinse, earthy tones, Soreen fruit loaf.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

Cask@coopers tavern, burtonl. Dark chestnut beer with medium frothy head and some lacing. Aroma is caramel and malts. Taste is malty, earth, wood and a little spice. Decent beer.
