Cask at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Mint chocolate matchmakers aroma and taste- which is no bad thing as I like mint chocolate matchmakers. Nice combination, works very well.

Cask at Craft Clerkenwell, Leather Lane, London, Friday 18th December 2015 Pours dark brown edging towards but not quite black. The chocolate and mint combine really well, not quite mint chocí chip well, but beery well. Smooth, mint more noticeable on the nose than in the mouth but a little creamy milk chocolate. Itís good.A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov15 3.6

Keg @The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh (Ratings Backlog) Pours black with a tan head. Nose of chocolate, nose really is the nose of a mint choc chip ice cream its crazy. Taste is very much the same but dark chocolate. Great beer.

Ugh, I hate mint in beers. However, thatís another prejudice utterly destroyed this festival (c.f. sorachi saison). Black, small loose head. Wowsers - after eights! Ditty taste, but a very robust porter behind it. Gently burnt. Finish a little hint of ashy burntness, but not drying. Nice drinkable palate, feels good in the mouth. Mint is very well integrated with the chocolate and the roast. Impressed.

Cask, Peterborough Beer Festival 2015. Black with a bubbly beige foam. Chocolate milkshake with dark toffee and raisins. Mint follows with a bready yeastiness. Fairly herbal and medicinal with trace banana. Dry and peppery on the finish. Good.

Cask at Clerkenwell. Black, shiny, with lace. Nose of cocoa, some mocha coffee. Creamy, slightly mint. Mont comes out more in the flavor, nice level of sweetness, bitter, roasty finish.

Tap at Craft. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, roast and mint. Taste ramps up the mint quite a bit. Like a liquid after eight. After you get used to the mint the chocolate comes back a little and itís sweet and malty. But itís all about the mint. I quite like it. Finish is very malty, barley and caramel. Very smooth and easy drinking.
