Tap at Craft. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, roast and mint. Taste ramps up the mint quite a bit. Like a liquid after eight. After you get used to the mint the chocolate comes back a little and it’s sweet and malty. But it’s all about the mint. I quite like it. Finish is very malty, barley and caramel. Very smooth and easy drinking.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. A deep brown to black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, mint (Like mint choc chip ice cream), some roasted malts and slight vanilla. Taste of chocolate, mint, roasted malts, subtle coffee, some vanilla and slight raisin. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A bittersweet, mint choc chip finish with some roasted bitterness. Really well balanced between sweet mint chocolate and bitter roastiness. Like drinking a mint choc chip ice cream, smooth too.

Baiza Chocolate Mint Stout 5.5% cask at Clerkenwell. Pitch black with the perfect mint chocolate aroma which reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream. The smooth creamy body accentuates this feeling while the taste delivers what the nose promised: mint chocolate goodness. Wonderful.

31.1.2015. Cask. Nose is milk chocolate, taste is bot as much but still it dominates. Also dark malts to make it a beer, slight bitterness. It is a milk chocolate stout indeed.

Cask @ The Magpie Brentford. Phone rating so brief. A nice chocolate minty palate thats not too generic . Good rich bitter dry notes. An interesting and strange stout.
