Cask, Coopers Tavern, Burton . Dave Pickerings entry to the Brewers Challenge. A superb brew, atypical perhaps for a summer beer with yummy malts and chocolate dustings all around. Slight smokiness around the edges too.

June, 2008 Coppers Tavern, Burton Warm and tasty. A lovely beer. Beer of the day. A good ale this - chocolate notes. Quibbles - perhaps too sweet. Perhaps too much licorice. Perhaps not enough hops. Without the quibbles this beer would be flying out the door into legend.

Cask handpull at Coach & Horses, Dronfield. Apparently the 3 brewers have taken a turn each producing a beer for the summer, another one being the Sapphire that I had in mini cask. Chestnut brown with thin beige head. Decent malty beer, bit of spice/smoke. Smokey malt. Bit of spicey hop on finish. Bit of butter. Not my favourite. Spicy pepper finish.
