Cask; Regular.,br> Dark, Fruity Ale
A fruity aroma with notes of raspberry, a light creamy body and a long nutty finish. Dark, refreshing and very drinkable.

Cask @ Friends of Ham. Pours black with off-white head. Pretty thin mouthfeel with light coffee, roast, dark fruits and nutty flavours. Good for what it is, which is a decent enough session ale.

Cask @ Van Moll Brewpub. Dark red to dark brown color, virtually no head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste malts, lightly roasty, nuts, lightly fruity, decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Nice.

At the NWAF 2012, Manchester. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Roasted malts, some herbs, some toffee. Roasted malt finish. Palate is a little thin but this is quite tasty all the same.

Cask. Dark mahogany color, frothy tan head. Soflyt roasted nose, biscuits, peanuts, fruity yeast, sweet herbal happiness. Dry flavor, chocolatey and nutty notes, slightly herbal hop flavor. Low bitterness. Light to medium body, round texture. Thin finish with nutty and dark chocolate flavors. Good session beer.

Cask at the The Littleton Arms in Penkridge. Black with a slightly smoked maltiness. Plenty of impact considering its relatively low strength. I felt that it was more like a stout than a mild.

Cask (Bridge Tavern, Newcastle) - Black in colour. Roasted malt, berries and a hint of hops in the aroma. Roasted and moderately fruity taste with blackcurrant and chocolate standing out.

Cask @ Angleterre. Near black, brown head. Smooth stuff! Cocoa, roasted malt, vanilla cookies and coffee in aroma. Wow! Taste then; roastedness, cocoa, hops, licorice. Coffee lingering in the dry finish. Spot on! No doubt the best mild ale I have ever had!

(Cask at Angleterre, 20140321) The beer poured nearly black and clear. Its head was small, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had coffee, burnt malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, burnt malts, chocolate, coffee, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. A nice tasty and balanced brew.
