2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A murky orange, yellow coloured cask conditioned lager with no head. The nose is sour, almost cider like, tinny with a hint of hops. The taste is basically the same, sour apple and a tinny hop flavour. It really was a flat lager! (Cask - @ The Fox & Hounds Summer Beer Festival 2006, Heacham, Norfolk).

Cask, The Alex, Derby. One to tempt the Veltins drinkers into trying a real ale for a change. Good clean pint, some some fruit notes and a crisp finish.

Cask@The Market Porter, Borough, London. Pretty decent for a cask lager (haven’t had too many good experiences with cask lager). Nice saazy character. Some peach and apricot sort of fruit, with bitter saaz in the finish. Not too bad.
