Cask at stags head, sheffield. Black with a tan head. Aroma is subtle coffee and faint roasty malts. Taste is very mild, lingering bitterness on the tongue. Mild carbonation and a medium/thin body, not bad though, great beer to swill round the mouth, very smooth.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Very dark dark and slightly hazy with a small creamy head. Itís a little too thin and session style in its texture which negates some of the stout flavours. It only has a very light roasted malt.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (Black Door, Helsinki)
Lovely gentle chocolatey roasty aroma. Very deep brown, small loose head. Lovely soft palate, carbonation as you would expect from a real ale. Again, that body has a wonderful soft chocolatey note. This a lovely stout. So drinkable Finish has great dry hops, just as I like in a stout, and they last for ever. They even get peppery the longer you stretch them. 4.1% stout - this is the target you should be aiming for - this hits gold.
