COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
A velvety dark, exceptionally smooth and creamy stout with soft treacle flavours and a full body. Not as strong as some traditional stouts, but lacking none of their taste.

On gravity at the Beamish Hall Winter Festival. mahogany with no real head. some nice roasty notes. A little thin but good. I expect more from Thornbridge though.

Cask at stags head, sheffield. Black with a tan head. Aroma is subtle coffee and faint roasty malts. Taste is very mild, lingering bitterness on the tongue. Mild carbonation and a medium/thin body, not bad though, great beer to swill round the mouth, very smooth.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Very dark dark and slightly hazy with a small creamy head. It’s a little too thin and session style in its texture which negates some of the stout flavours. It only has a very light roasted malt.

Cask (Black Door, Helsinki)
Lovely gentle chocolatey roasty aroma. Very deep brown, small loose head. Lovely soft palate, carbonation as you would expect from a real ale. Again, that body has a wonderful soft chocolatey note. This a lovely stout. So drinkable Finish has great dry hops, just as I like in a stout, and they last for ever. They even get peppery the longer you stretch them. 4.1% stout - this is the target you should be aiming for - this hits gold.

Cask at The Victoria; dark chestnut brown pour with quickly dissapating soapy beige head, coffee aroma, quite a thin watery stout with some coffee and chocolate, and a hint of sweet brown sugar.
