Pours a slightly pale clear yellow of cask with a white head. The smell is biscuit, fruit. The taste is fruit, slightly sour lactic, biscuit ending dry. The body is light and creamy with great carbonation. Not exciting but we’ll made.

Cask from the stags head, Sheffield. Golden ale with not much head. Aroma is grassy and grainy, slight off smell on this, maybe the drains. Taste is much better, light and refreshing nice dry finish. Palate is lovely, the tingly carbonation I like with a medium - thick body. Decent.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
My third and final beer at the Pheasant, Wellington, Shropshire on 14th June 2014: cask half-pint. Slight haze to the dull golden body, a white head. I thought this a little bland, a mild hop citrus note here and there with a light maltiness in places. I can’t get as excited as some do with Thornbridge, beers like this are the reason.
