Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer. Small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, slightly sweet, no roast or bitterness. Touch of powdery dark chocolate and subtle floral note. Light tangy coffee. Pinch of hop spice. Juicy dark fruits. Dry crisp finish. Not bad but it got oddly chewy quite quickly.

The taste is roasted malt, coffee, toast, dark chocolate, charred wood and spice with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty earthy stuff. Good depth, but not overly drinkable.
