3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Pours bright red (like kola cubes), thin off-white head. Nose; strawberry, raspberry, cherry, malty. Taste; lots of red fruit, sweet, malty, soft on palate, thin, short hoppy finish, tastes weaker than 5.9%. Drinkable, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Black Door
Aroma has fruity hops, some raspberries and some resiny notes. Also hints of hay. Flavour has lots of raspberries, some resiny hops and hints of fruits. Too much berries here, I expected more. Not the most typical ESB, more like amber ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Pours hazy dark amber with a huge creamy tanned head. Aroma of dark fruits and wood. Taste is fruity, dark fruits, with plenty of good bitterness, sharp minty finish, very good beer in my book.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brownish red colour, large off-white head. Nice aroma of fruity and mildly spicy English hops, hints of resin, also malts and earthy notes. The medium sweet flavour is also fruity, but more in terms of dried or baked fruits and berries, again some earthy tones, well hopped with a firm malty backbone.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
@ ACBF 2011. The aroma is very fruity, aprikots, flowers, dried fruits. Hazy, orange coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is bitter, has aprikots, caramel malts. Lots there. Nice complexity. Great red.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Cardinal. Practically clear deep reddish body with a finger thick off-white head. Aroma is not very strong, but has a nice and slightly unusually hop profile. Mostly ripe fruit and marmalade with some caramel malt in the background. The flavor is quite fruity as well in the same style as aroma, caramel malt and relatively bitter. Fine and balanced body with a good and fruity bitter aftertaste that ends up with a bit of tea type bitterness. Nice to see the extended use of British hops, but some freshness is missing here to get a top score.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Keg at Black Door, 2013122) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized, dense and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were herbal hops, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A bit weird but still tasty brew.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask pour at Cask, Pimlico. Hoppy reds aren’t necessarily a big lure for me, and that’s what this beer was, regardless of the (now pretty capacious) "Bitter" category. Light copper pour, fairly clear, only medium carbonation. Bright citrus and hops in the nose, with a goodly amount of candy too. Mouthfeel a bit too slick, which tended to enhance the sweet malts perhaps a bit too much. Okay.
