COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden summer ale made with a selection of American and Slovenian hops, Maris Otter Pale Ale and Crystal malts and infused with freshly picked Derbyshire Elderflowers. An initial aroma of elderflower and a clean and zesty flavor. Fresh and grassy hop characters and a light, refreshing bitter finish make this beer the ideal warm weather pint. The elderflower character lingers long after swallowing.

A Mes rate: cask at the Fat Cat.
Bright light gold with a thin but lasting white head and lots of condition. Huge elderflower hand in hand with some very good hops and held up really well by some excellent earthy malt. Ian’s right, it’s almost gingery with the excessive elderflower. Typically drinkable for a Thornbridge beer. Good stuff.

Cask in the fat cat. Alround rating: Massive elderflower peppery character, dry and grasy, bitter floral pwepperyness. Quite different but its not really my deal.

Cask @ The Fat Cat, Sheffield.
Pours slightly hazy golden with a fine, staying, off-white film head. Aroma is sweet, some clear elderflowers and flowery hops. Medium, prickly carbonation, fine and light mouthfeel. Flavour is rather sweet, lots of elderflowers. Light flowery dry bitterness in the finish. Fresh, but just a bit too much elderflowers for me.

Cask Conditioned Gravity Dispense Merton BF. A golden coloured beer with a little ring of whitish bubbles. The aroma has lots of elderflower but also spicy pepperiness too. Spicy peppery and floral in the mouth. Clean, crisp and good.

Ok... in a departure from normal rating... due to the INCREDIBLY high number of BLOND ales during the Shefiled trip that all blended into one another im breaking them down into three catagories

Catagory A : Golden Yellow ... light fruity lemon hop nose ... soft dull light lemon hop

Catagory B : Amber ... light dry lemon hop ... soft light lemon hop with a little malt in background

Catagory C : Amber ... soapy lemon nose ... light brigh lemon hop

Catagory D : Amber ... light grassy lemon hop ... dry grassy lemon hop

Catagory E : Amber ... light grapefruit hop ... again light hop with a little grapefruit

This is a Catagory C @ the Star festival Hudersfield

Cask at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival 17-07-09 Pours gold in colour with off-white head. The aroma is quite simply stunning, the elderflowers leap out at you and they’re really, really fresh, no cats piss which can accompany not so fresh elderflower. There was also a hint of nettle on the nose, anyway it was a rare 10/10 for me on the nose fantastic. Taste was really summery, clean and maltier and with more body than I expected for a 4% beer but it was tasty with the elderflower showing again. I really enjoyed this but for me the aroma was everything and the taste as good as it was, was never quite going to live up to that nose. A10 A3 F7 P3 Ov15 3.8

Cask handpull at The Star Inn, Huddersfield and The Fat Cat, Sheffield. So much elderflower almost gingerish Gold, lasting beige head. Very, very elderflower on aroma. Good in mouth, good fullish pale malt, then lots of peppery elderflower on finish. Good beer.
