In the flavor elderberry comes first with a more traditional golden ale finish. Sweetish with low bitterness. Delicate honeyish and nutty maltiness in the background.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scopey (3246) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Brighton. It pours clear amber, with no head whatsoever. The nose is big on the floral, especially elderflower, sticky sweetness, perfumed, Potpourri and parma violets. The taste is strong elderflower, potpourri, light toast, grass, some bitterness and sweet white grape, with dryness in the finish. Medium body and completely flat. Perhaps not on top condition. Rather one-dimensional...the elderflower dominates.

Cask @ CPK. The pour’s light gold with a small creamy white head. The nose is of honeycomb, floral spring meadow. Nice, sweet summery aromas. The taste is much the same. Pleasing light herbal hoppiness, some apricot fruits and grass. Light body, soft palate. Overall, a very nice beer. The elderflower isn’t overpowering. Balanced.

Cask at Coach and Horses Dronfield - A light gold appearance, a small white head, with a very flowery nose. First taste gives a herb taste, elderflowers allegedly, but more like a weak IPA. Still very nice, and went well with the weather.
