Cask conditioned handpump Chequers Oxford. An amber coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Really good fruity hops. Sweet malts give body but for some might be a bit too sweet. I didn’t find the malts too bothersome though. Really good fruits. Very likeable.

[cask, The Haymarket Bar, Edinburgh] Brownish amber beer, nice thick white head. Sweet orange on the nose, grass, melon and a bit of earthy spice. Plenty of hop on the flavour too – this is a beefed up bitter. More citrus, apple and melon, caramel sweet malt and bready notes. Really enjoyable [21052012]

Hand pulled at the Old Comtemptibles, Birmingham. Initially dull cardboard malt, but then blooms into a fresh feeling, artificial leather tang. Some tropical notes on finish, though weighted with boot. Solid.

cask at kennelworth ... golden orange amber ... creamy off white head ... soft sweet fruity hop nose ... light bitter front ... big orangepeel ... lotts of juicy hops ... little oily ... and just a little too bitter for me

Magpie (Nicholsons). Clear orange - amber beer, decent off white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry with fine carbonation. Creamy semi dry malt. Mellow orange citrus hops but with a little green hop spice. Semi dry finish with sweeter fruits in the aftertaste.
