Tasted on 8/6/12 from a 500mL bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours a surprisingly light yellow/orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average, sticky, and messy lace. The nose is very light bread malt with a ton of intense floral, citrus, and tropical fruit hops. The flavor is really dominated by the intense hops that are nicely bitter, floral, with tropical fruits and citrus. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long nicely bitter and complex hops finish.

Pale golden double india pale ale in the american tradition with a big hoppy character, citric and spicy notes. What makes the difference in their beers is the softness of the body.

500 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a snifter. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small white head that fades quickly, leaving a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has notes of pineapple, citrus, straw and subtle pepper, along with pale malts. The flavour is moderately sweet up front, with notes of honey, biscuity pale malts and tropical fruit. It acquires a medium hoppy bitterness through the middle with citrus, resin and tropical fruit notes coming through. It closes out with a long bitter-sweet finish. On the palate it is medium in full with a syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a very sweet IPA. The hops are nice, but the malts are almost cloyingly sweet. 2014-07-04

Hazy straw colour with a large white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is mild, zesty and floral. Similar flavours, nectarine, grapefruit, pine, a moderate amount of malt. Quite boozy. Sweet initially with a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Very nice!

English in smell, very pale color. Thick foam. Aroma not too intense, but pleasant. Tastes great. Bit sweet but in aftertaste light bitter. Excellent!

Instead of the usual murky pond water appearance shared by even some of the best imperial IPAs, this is a pale yellow with a frothy white head. Nice mix of fruits in there including mango and a bit of gooseberry, slightly creamy, and a bitterness that creeps in rather than punches you in the face. Another winner for Thornbridge, though for a really great one (like Stone Ruination) I’d prefer a bigger and darker fruit hit.

Bottle. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel, citrus and grass. Taste is not very edgy, but pleasant nevertheless. Malty sweetness, a bunch of hops and grapefruit. Sweet beginning and moderate bitterness towards the end. Ideal on a hot day.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus and cheese hops. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long grassy and floral finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

From bottle. Was surprised at the light honey blonde colour. Almost looked like a wheat beer. Decent white frothed head. Lacing the glass. Aroma is fruity. Taste is subtle sweet with a slight bitter at end - pineapple, citrus, grass.

Wow, mouthblown, this packs a wallop of taste, and even though it was lively in the glass the head dissipates, not an imperial IPA though, bit a chuffing good IPA, and I’d have no problems with recommending this to anyone. Loads of citrus, loads of hope=, lots of tang, only let down by the finish to the dry and a slightly oily finish. But nitpick aside this is a cracker !

Golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of citrus hops, straw. Taste is sweet, light bitter finish. Oily texture, medium carbonation. Good beer.
