UPDATED: APR 29, 2014 Keg from greystones, Sheffield. Wonderful aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Misty yellow colour, with wispy head. Sweet, bold tropical flavour, with a slight bitter aftertaste. Prickly carbonation.

And yet again, huge thanks to Mario from Dva Tona for the superb tasting!
This one concluded the golden Chinookey APA/IPA/IIPA trinity from Thornbridge. Obviously, golden with a medium sized, long lasting white head. Heavy aroma, malty with notes of lemon rock candy, nice & balanced. Creamy, fuller earthy-lemony-soapy taste, smooooooth malty background, tasty. The bitterness shows up remarkably late, and is never too strong. Nothing too fancy overall, but damn this is pleasant.

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Fruit-accented hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, grapefruit, oranges, as well as a slightly piney and herbal touch. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Soft but still hearty malty base with present fruity hoppy accents, accompanied by notes of pine and spruce; balanced bitter-sweet mildly malty and pronounced fruity and piney hoppy finish. Pleasant. 13.VIII.14

Draft - Earthy skunky hops with grassy notes. Clear gold with a hood white head. Earth bitterness and some sweetness. Very flavorless, light orange and pithy.

(Thornbridge Halcyon) Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a big tulip. ABV 7.4% Golden orange colour on the body, bright and sunny, with a tall slightly off-white head sitting on top. Quite thick, first half is collapsing fast but the remaining half has a very good retention. Hevy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, lots of pine too, very hoppy. Great taste, lots of citrus, grapefruit, again very pine-y, a bit of resin, floral notes as well, fresh grass, melon. Nicely bitter on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, good lively carbonation, very dry on the palate. Great beer, I could drink it every day

Aroma: fruity, hopy, same as taste, can feel malts which are in great ballance between hops and fruitness. Very well ballanced IPA, easy drinkable.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Hazy yellow-blonde with a thin head. Has a strength but its subdued tropical fruits and medium-high bitterness are just as much a part of its character.

This beer has a promising delicious smell of fruity hops. The taste delivers, fruity, bitter and with a nice malty backbone with a touch of caramel. Balanced and tasty.
