500ml bottle from Beer Ritz, bb.17.10.2010. Slightly unclear, golden body topped by a white layer. Fragile lacing to the glassware. Aroma of lightly spiced hoppy fruits. Sappy, semi-sweet citrus fruits in flavour. Yeasty hints behind. Smooth dry bitter ending. Foamy mouth feel. Medium to full bodied. A pleasure to drink (flat at Bodington Hall, University of Leeds, 14.07.2010).

Draught 1/2 pint (keg) at The Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, on 13-Aug-2015 - Thornbridge tap takeover as part of London Beer City 2015. Hazy orange colour with a small off white head. Aroma of fruit, so e citrus notes, pine and alcohol. Medium body and carbonation. Flavour of caramel, bitter grapefruit, tropical fruits and alcohol. Bitter finish. I was really looking forward to this one but was a little disappointed with ghe balance.

Aroma is soft plum and pear notes. Has a fine foggy body with minimal head. Flavour is okay pear and hop flavours but they are not prominent. It’s surprisingly easy to drink given the alcohol. It’s a very drinkable strong brew.

Yellow beer, a little hazy, white 1 finger head. Aroma: beautiful. Tones of citrus, sweet tropical fruits- mango, pineapple, really really sweet aroma. Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitterness. Flavours of tropical fruits. Could be more intense in taste. Palate: low carbonation, medium body. Overall: Beautifull aroma, really drinkable, but taste could be a little bit more intense. Anyway great beer. I could smell it all the time.

Alengrin (3401) - BELGIUM - JUL 12, 2015
Draught at Gollem in Antwerp. American style English IPA with thickly lacing, off-white, stable head and cloudy ochre blonde colour (the glass which was served to me, was apparently the end of the keg). Strong IPA aroma of orange juice and orange peel, grapefruit zest, strawberry, mango, wet leather, wet hay, field flowers, bitter honey, peach. Fruity, rich onset of pineapple, peach and gooseberry, a tad sweet but drying quickly, yeasty with a soft, juicy honeyish malt sweetness underneath; early finish of drying, resiny, citrus peel hops, long and peppery without bittering ’too’ deeply. Very elegant, perfectly balanced IPA, exemplary for its style.

from Bier-Bienne - hazy golden-blond beer with a long lasting white foam; hoppy aroma of apples and berries, clean; full-bodied, soft carbonation, light sweetness mellow but long lasting bitterness; bready and fruity finish with gentle spicy notes
