330 ml bottle - wauuw - incredibly complex. Pours deep deep brown with a bubbly marron beige head. Aroma is anice, leather, blackcurrants, noble coffee roast. Medium body (a bit watery?) with fresh fruity start, getting to bitter in the middle and nice roasted and dry bitter finish. Taste is liquorice all over, caughing syrup, orange peel. Very nice beer!
4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Rune (6120) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 2, 2012
330ml bottle, highly recommended by the barman at Schouskjelleren. Bubbly, lightly brown head. Lacing rings to the glassware. Devil-black body. Very good looking. Velvet aroma of not-too-sweet chocolate, carefully roasted. Elegant balanced taste of chocolate malts offset by smooth fruity hops. Prolonged bittersweet coffee notes to the finale. Alcohol notes far behind. Full bodied. Not extreme in any way. Top notch (a very fine last drink during my Oslo-Bergen-Oslo trip in September. This one was enjoyed on a Wednesday afternoon in Oslo, 19.09.2012).

Brewed April 2011, Bottled December 2011 - A dark black, tan head, classic look - top marks. Aroma is coffee, licorice, chocolate, dark fruits - excellent. Taste is blackcurrants, coffee, liquorice, and an after burn of warming alcohol - again, excellent. Oily in the mouth, nice and thick - perfect! Not sure if this is my highest mark I’ve given, but it must be close.
4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 77ships (2156) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 4, 2012
2011 Vintage – brewed April 2011 – bottled December 2011 – neat
Label – ok, similar to Bracia so they must have an ancient brew series going on but not terribly exiting
Appearance –very dark brown with a lovely creamy mocha head, beautiful
Smell – lots & lots of coffee here, sweet with lots of sweet chocolate, mocha, chocolate truffles
Taste – insanely awesome, like liquid ice-cream basically, oodles of chocolate truffles, mocha & mocha ice-cream, sweet chocolate, toffee, creamy, malty goodness, would love to try this again with some ice-cream in it, very light bitterness in the end, light bitter chocolate / espresso & even some hops but very little
Body – ridiculously creamy
Overall – don’t care what the ratings are saying here, this is simply incredibly, easily one of the best RIS I have ever had
(33 cl. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 suprchunk (1393) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2012
Almost black pour with ruby highlights. Small tan head that doesn’t stick around and leaves little, if any, lacing. Big malty aroma. Roast, chocolate, fruit notes. Some toffee. Big molasses flavor. Tastes almost like straight up treacle. Raisiny with some toffee, coffee notes. Very sweet, but not too cloying. Not bad. A definite sipper though.
