Cask, 9.5% at Borefts 2011. Mild fruity aroma. Black colour. Small frothy light brown head. The flavour is roasted and rather salty. Burning alcohol finish.

Medium brown head on top of a pitch black beer.
Smell coffee, oak, burned wood.
Taste coffee, gass, liquorice, roasted malts, bitter, spices and some sweets like sticky malts and barleys and dried dark fruits.
Bitter light liquorice dark ingredients aftertaste.
Low carbo, full body, soft silky mouthfeel and a big creamy texture
Well balanced and tasty.

Cask (gravity) @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.
Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, sea salt, coffee maker aroama. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20110923]

Draught @ BBF2011. Black pour, solid tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, cardamom, mocha and coffee. Flavor is bitter roasted, coffee, very smooth and thick bodied.

Leathery and chocolate aroma. Taste also some leathery or plastic taste with chocolate. Sweet and sticky aftertaste. Quite special but nice.

Cask @ BBF 2011. Malty salty roasty aroma. Laurel and licorice. Malty sweet salty flavor with licorice and coffee in the background. Velvety mouthfeel.

On draught at the Boreft Beer Festival, 2011. I only got the faintest hint of Brett. Aroma was mostly curry powder with some woody notes and caramel. Lingering mustard and black pepper flavours with a salty, black strap liquorice character.

Cask at BBF 2011, courtesy of Dominik - thank you sir! nearly black, few large bubbles. Aroma of dark rich chocolate, raisins, dates. Taste is dark summer fruit and cocoa. Medium body. Very tasty.

Flavour is liquorice, salmiak and roast. A bit weird but nice.
