330 ml bottle - wauuw - incredibly complex. Pours deep deep brown with a bubbly marron beige head. Aroma is anice, leather, blackcurrants, noble coffee roast. Medium body (a bit watery?) with fresh fruity start, getting to bitter in the middle and nice roasted and dry bitter finish. Taste is liquorice all over, caughing syrup, orange peel. Very nice beer!

Bottle with Dan. Pours a deep ruby-tinted black, mocha head. Aroma is great chocolate, mocha coffee, a bit of milk, ginger and a real blackcurrant cordial thing, which is odd. Taste is oddly fruity for an impy stout: all the milk chocolate and coffee you’d expect from an imperial stout, but with a fruity vinous apple/blackcurrant character. Lovely silky mouthfeel, lingering flavourful tastiness. Mmm. Oh yes. Mmm. Mmmmm.

Bottle at DaDa Sheffield. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is roasty, dark chocolate, xmas cake, plum, date, caramel, raisin, liquorice and spice. The taste is rich roasted malt, dark fruit (particularly plum), coffee, burnt earth, light tanginess, liquorice, chocolate, spice and some alcohol warmth with a long dry roasted finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Great depth of flavour and very well balanced. Delicious.

GraviCask@BBF2011. The first few sips were strange. Salty, earty and leather notes, dry, light toasty flavours. However after 5 sips I got used to it and half way the glass I was already sure I needed another one. Great stuff!
