Bottle at DaDa Sheffield. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is roasty, dark chocolate, xmas cake, plum, date, caramel, raisin, liquorice and spice. The taste is rich roasted malt, dark fruit (particularly plum), coffee, burnt earth, light tanginess, liquorice, chocolate, spice and some alcohol warmth with a long dry roasted finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Great depth of flavour and very well balanced. Delicious.

GraviCask@BBF2011. The first few sips were strange. Salty, earty and leather notes, dry, light toasty flavours. However after 5 sips I got used to it and half way the glass I was already sure I needed another one. Great stuff!

Pitch black, opague colour with an off-white head. Smells bacon and roasty. Has a deep coffee taste, with some vanilla and chocolate notes. Full body and a great carbo.

Tap @ BBF. Pours pitch black with a modest tanned head. Aroma has figs, peat, roast, strong liquorice, tobacco, hint of subtle dark fruits, cocoa nibs and vanilla. Taste has a nice, subtle sweetness which balances out the rather harsh bitterness. Very thick and chewy with some soft, salty syrup in the back. Some hops and a microscopic hint of brett.

Idiosynkrasie (3232) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 6, 2012
330ml bottle. Darkest brown with average creamy firm lacing brown head - containing bubbles identical like digitally generated. Roasty dark malt aroma, a touch of leather, shoe polish, leek, onion, a hint of peppermint. Taste has prickling spicy notes like peppermint, soya sauce, Aspirin®, additionally liquorice, bitter notes like coffee and artichoke. Sticky, oily lasting finish. Really a characterful Imperial Stout, though (and because of) not permanently flattering the gustative nerve.
