Cask @ Borefts 2012 - dark with a small mocha head - nose is wow - there is so much honey in there, crazy, thick, sweet, mocha, roast, chocolate but the honey is so heavy that it is difficult to pick out other scents but damn this is fine stuff - taste pure, really thick honey with some dark malts chocolate, roast, sweet mocha, licorice, light bitterness in the back, there is such unison with the honey and the rest even if the honey is really heavy - impressive.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @Borefts fest 2012.
Aroma is obviously full of honey, honey makes almost impossible to distinguish any other notes.
Taste is quite impressive, honey notes perfectly combine with roasted malts, giving delicious aftertaste.
Oversweetness of honey is actually perfectly balalanced with a good amount of bitterness in aftertaste.

Cask @ bbf. Aroma is fine honey with liquorice, laurel and roasty malts. Not a fan of honey beers but this is promising. Flavour is quite bitter and roasty ,followed by some fruity and honey sweetness, lingering laurel liquorice in the finish. Intense.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Black in color with a khaki head. The nose is pretty acidic. A lot of roast, some floral heather notes, and a touch of vinegar tartness in the background. The flavor is surprisingly bitter. Quite roasty with some cocoa and coffee. A bit of heather and floral flavor in the background. Not a big fan of this one.

Pitch black. Small lace. Good smell of liquorish malts, coffee, and spices. A bit less at the taste, but still the mixture of flavours is very nice, more honey, good roasted malts. Surprise for me for sure.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 28th September 2012 Pours black with a rim of bubbles. There is a wonderful floral honeyness but with a great roastiness. Smooth with some warmth from alcohol. I think that some will find the heather and honey a little too much but not me, I’m really enjoying this beer. Lovely beer some streaky flavours going on, this is great stuff. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0
