COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available bottled.
A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Poured out a clear light gold that sparkles with a white fluffy cap - reminds me of a lager. After dumping in the bottom half of the bottle is got a tad hazy with a bit of suspended particles. The nose is lemony with spicy earthy hops - lots of them. There is a bit of foul veggies but only on deep snorts. Maybe this beer is getting a bit old. There is also some tangerine. Big bitterness on every angle of each sip, faint caramel, tangy, salivating created sweetness on the back end. Some spice, some faint orange - there is fruit here but I can’t quite place it. Oooooo ’Jump’ played by the Oilers organ dude - awful. Low carbonation, leaves slick teeth similar to eating Chapstick. Decent beer but easily forgotten. Better than the normal Brit IPA.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2014 Bottle from Wetherspoon’s, Edinburgh airport. Slightly hazy golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Low carbonation. Aroma of white bread, pineapple and orange. Flavour of earth, lemon and and a hint of mango. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A decent, if unspectacular, IPA.

Cask at the Hilary step, whalley range, Manchester. Clear orange gold with white head. Aroma tropical fruits and honey. Taste same plus yeast and grass. Yeast a bit strong, lingers in the aftertaste too. A bit heavy but still quite nice.

Clear orange beer, creamy white head, unstable, adhesive with nice lacing. Aroma: paté (pretty weird), exotic fruits, some pineapple, little passion fruit, bit cheesy. Taste: ripe fruits, green banana, bit of dairy, cheesy, pineapple. Aftertaste: little metallic, bitter dry ending, still fruity (ripe to overripe fruits).

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 50cl bottle. Pours golden, no bubbles as far as I can see. Nicely proportioned head. The nose has citrus fruit, then something earthy and maybe even vegetable (maybe even garlic). Then it seems to clear into grapefruit. The taste has fresh grapefruit and pith. The palate is a medium body, a creamy/tangy middle and a very clean finish. Overall, a good beer but I’m disappointed given the cult status of this brewery.

Cask. Amber with a steady white head. Hoppy and malty on the nose. Citrus hops with zesty, grapefruit notes are balanced with wheat malts. There is honey on the palate which sweetens the otherwise bitter tang palate.

Bottled @ home. Already had it from tap before a couple of times, but didn’t give it any proper time for a decent rate. Clear pale golden color, short slight off-white head. Aroma of nice citrussy and grassy hop. Slight touch of biscuity malt. Quite bitter taste, slight sweetness in it as well. Soft carbonation. Nice citrussy bitter finish. Easy drinker. Good session ale.

Pours clear golden with a clear white head. Nose of fresh, flowerly hops. Taste is vivid and bitter (oh yeas, this is way better than a pilsner beer - and it drinks as fluently).. Nice finish of coffee.
