Draft. People seem to love this beer, and from what Iíve gathered it is much better fresh which I donít yet have the opportunity to try it that way. Odd combination of very grassy, sweet candy, floral, bit of citrus. Sweet and sticky, light touch of butter, not my thing.

This has been long overdue for a review. It pours a clear yellow - surely lighter than the beer from their old brewery? A single finger of white head rises and falls quickly, leaving a substantial lacing on the glass. Again, this seems a bit paler in the nose than the original 330ml bottled version; offering a zesty citrus aroma and a honey-like malt profile. In the mouth the hops split into fruits and bitterness, giving off notes of orange pith and soft lemon - perhaps thereís also just a touch of woody acidity. The honey carries through from the nose and is brought to the fore as the beer warms. Itís on the thinner side of medium bodied with a low carbonation. On the finish the beer grows progressively bitter with a developing touch of pineapple. Iím sure this has become milder since the change of breweries, but itís still a rock solid got to beer.

On cask at the Punch Bowl, Stonegate York. I generally donít like IPAs much, but this one is quite exceptional; by far the best Iíve had. It pours a beautiful amber with a white head, has a nice hop nose and then delights the palate with a perfect balance of smooth malt and hops. It does not suffer from the excessive hoppiness too many IPAs have and just delivers massive and delicious flavour without any offensive characteristics.. Many 6% beers have an overpowering alcohol taste but this hides it well. I had to have second just to confirm how really excellent it was.

[cask at the Guildford Arms, Edinburgh] Pours a beautifully clear golden colour, wonderfully floral and fruity aromas - and a massive citrus wallop from the hops offset by a rising sweetness. Champion strong ale at the 2010 GBBF, and deservedly so

A lightly hazed golden IPA with a thin lacing white and creamy head. Superb aroma of fragrant hops, pinhey and citrusy, with oily qualities, surprising for a British beer. In mouth, a smooth floral hops with silky malt, smooth and refreshing. On tap at ChurchKey DC with ArgoO, Sept. 16 2010.

Half liter pours hazy deep gold with white head. The aroma is full of spicy hops, citrus grapefruit like hops, some orange peel and spicy yeastiness. The taste is firm spicy saison like yeastiness with layers of grapefruit, tangelo and tangerine roaming around underneath. Yummy sharp spicy and citrus and yeasty brew.
