3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Stubbies (Gainesville, FL). Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Taste has medium bitterness from the hops, but a good balance of sweetness from the malt. More highly hopped than most English IPAs I’ve had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Brouwer’s Hopfest. Piss yellow pour, lite foamy head. Hazy. Nose is honey-lager, reminds of sour on nose and looks. Very honey-sweet, honeysuckle, jasmine. greentea. much like lager, surprising. Light bodied but finishes with ok bittering. fruity, spritely. very odd, wouldn’t have thought ipa. my west coast roots are spoiling me.

Tap at Church Key. Grassy citrus very clean light hoppiness nose. Appearance is a clean yellow golden colour, thin filmy white head. Slight sweetness, clean mouthfeel, light english floral hops, pale maltiness, apple peel, lemon zest and some tinned peach. Finishes light and refreshing. Good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Brouwer’s Hopfest 2010. Yellow, with a small, syrupy head. Very English hops on the nose - mild, not at all overly bitter. Herbal, malty - sorry, but this doesn’t belong at Hopfest. Something like a super-imperial South American lager. Green tea and maybe jasmine? Meh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Straw colour. Nice loose foam. The aroma mixes some strong citrus and papaya with integrated butter, even a hint of pine. Fresh, bitter, piney beer with light diacetyl. Halfway between a hoppy bitter and a Seattle IPA, and a little bit of neither.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask @ Swansea Bay Beer Festival 2010. Very pale gold, is not a great color but the head is long-lasting. Beautiful hop with well-integrated butter in the aroma. Smooth palate. Really hoppy. Lovely bright pine, herbal, tea leaves. Slight tannin, orange and other citrus peels. Great! Was not expecting to like this as much as I did.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Lion’s Pride. Quite pale pour with thin white head, not too IPA looking. The aroma makes up for it though. Beautiful floral, herbal aromas come off this one - honey, rosemary, lemon and pine. Flavor is light, honey sweetness combines very well with a slight piney bitterness to make this a very tasty and refreshing IPA. The palate is well carbonated and lively contributing to the refreshing feel of this beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I was shocked to see this one on cask on the beer list, and was excited to order. Cask at The Porter Beer Bar in Atlanta. About a 10 oz tulip pour. Pour is initially hazed golden, clearing to only slightly so. The white head falls quickly with some light lacing. Aroma is honey, grapefruit, green apple, floral - really bright and fresh. Quite aromatic. Taste is the parts of the nose, all integrated quite nicely - the green apple and grapefruit is up front, the honey is rounded in the middle and the crisp mineral earthy bitterness finishes it - super dry. Super tasty. Palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation with the dry bitter finish. Really nice.
