4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 50cl bottle. Pours gold/orange with small bright white head. Decent lacing and fairly lively carbonation. Wonderful tropical fruit in the aroma, grapefruit and passionfruit come through, orange peel, floral notes, slightly sticky sugary sweetness. Taste is another hop explosion, full of zingy tropical notes, citrus tang, light pine resin, lovely smooth biscuity malt backbone to complement the brilliant hops. Lovely medium/full mouthfeel and refreshing bitterness to finish - a great IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle @ Gastropub Soho, Tampere. BBE 09.08.2012.
Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma of strong exotic fruits, hops and some sweet toffee. Flavour of sweet exotic fruits, honey, grass, bitter citrusy hops and some grapefruity notes. Medium bodied with a lingering bitter and citrusy finish. Honey tends to smoothen especially the bitterness here too much.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2014 50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Soho, BBE 09.08.2012
Aroma is fresh and hoppy with exotic fruits, mango and hints of resin. Flavour is slighly sticky and sweetish with resin, pine needles, some exotic fruits and hints of fruit sugar. Slightly sweet but good IPA anyway.
Cask @ Gallows Bird ⅩⅦ Real Ale Festival

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

(draught) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. restrained aroma of grass and straciatella, slightly grainy, with hints of yeast and lime. flavour is disappointingly similar, quite yeasty and even slightly buttery, with a minerally light-bitter finish. light-bodied with very soft carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in October 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Strong citric aroma of grapefruit and lemon notes long in intensity. Thick resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malt base gives a rich fruit flavour of gooseberry, kiwi, white grape and pineapples with clear honey notes evident. Dry hop flowers give a big citrus whack of lemons and pine resin which compliment the citrus malt well. Strong hoppy finish with greengage fruit and honey notes sweet and tart in the mouth. An impressive IPA and highly recommended.
