A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Interesting. Pours and smells like my nemisis - the wheat beer. First few sips I didnít like it, but ended up enjoying it

Bottle and served i GI IPA Tulip: Golden hue lasting head and good lace. The aroma has notes of mango, pineapple, resiny and leafy hops along with some peppery esters wrapped around base pale biscuity and slight crystal notes. Sadly the taste is not as impressive as the nose, mild to moderate bitterness and hop spice and a somewhat flabby malt bill. Perhaps the hops are fading but gotta rate what is in front of me. The mouth feel is soft and rounded, quite nice. This is a brew that methinks would be so much better on cask than bottle but alas that is not happening anytime soon.

Big juicy fruit aroma. Big juicy fruit mouthful too. Crazy beer with lager twists and alpha-acid highs. Throat ripping finish too. Crazy stuff.

Lager appearance, bubbly. Typical grassy hops IPA aroma. Same flavour. Thin, well carbonated. Flavour is a bit lacking, not that interesting overall.

50cl bottle cold. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Proper citrus and tropical fruit flavours, and that superbitter hop finish that announces a great IPA. Very impressed, but if asked to choose my favourite Thornbridge so far, it would be the Kipling.

Tap @ Schoukjelleren. Have been looking forward to trying this since ever since I saw Oz (from Oz and James) blind-tasting it at a local train station somewhere in the UK. Anyhow, this is a light clouded pale yellow-golden beer with a nice and extremely lacing just off-white head. The aroma is unfortunately a bit disappointing considering I have been longing to taste this for almost 2 years, but it has a light note of citrus, some nice malty notes and hints of both orange and apples. Actually, it also reminds me quite a lot of a white wine in the aroma! Not sure what to make of that, but it really does. Average carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a light oily to creamy actually mouthfeel. Lots of citrus in the flavor, kinda lemony-like actually, with notes of bitter flowers and itís also light earthy. Well balanced and all in all this was not bad.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2011 Cask at Cask Pub SW1. Slightly alcoholic IPA, sweetish hoppy aromas, syrupy hint on palate, gives way to drier and bitter hoppiness with citrus notes. Very tasty.

Si esto es una IPA yo soy Michael Jackson, tipico sabor a cerveza convencional. Sin cuerpo, aroma ni caracter, mucho menos lupulo. Parece como si lo que hubieran puesto en la botella fuera otra cosa.

Cask at the CP&K. It pours light hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is full of citrus: mango, orange, passion fruit and apricot. The taste is pine, caramel sweetness, resin, hay, straw, full-on Kumquat, grapefruit, mango, orange and passion fruit, with a nice bitter finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Nice.
