Cask: Regular. Also available bottled.
A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

I was shocked to see this one on cask on the beer list, and was excited to order. Cask at The Porter Beer Bar in Atlanta. About a 10 oz tulip pour. Pour is initially hazed golden, clearing to only slightly so. The white head falls quickly with some light lacing. Aroma is honey, grapefruit, green apple, floral - really bright and fresh. Quite aromatic. Taste is the parts of the nose, all integrated quite nicely - the green apple and grapefruit is up front, the honey is rounded in the middle and the crisp mineral earthy bitterness finishes it - super dry. Super tasty. Palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation with the dry bitter finish. Really nice.

Draft. Pours yellow with a white head. Flavor of fuggles and EKG hops.. has a tart lemony flavor with some cardboard. Still better than every other English IPA I’ve tried.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Poured a hazy, neon green to straw color with a bibg bubble, bright white head that had little retention and webby lace. Very nice floral hops, lemon zest, lemongrass. Taste is piney bitter, tree bark bitter, lots of lemony EKG hops. Refreshing and very nice.

2010-08-03. Crisp yellow body with a nice big foamy white head. 4+ Flavour is pleasantly hoppy throughout, modest bitterness, light lemon and hints at grass. 7+ Nice aroma, pleasantly hoppy with modest lemony character and light grass. 7+ Average to light bodied palate suits it and aids drinkability. Less assertive than I had hoped, it is definitely of the English school and not American, but this was exceptionally drinkable. Cask at GBBF 2010

Poured a nice golden color with a nice white head. It had a citrusy, slightly lemony scent, with a grapefruity, orange peel flavor. It had a nice level of bitterness, and I found it really refreshing.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2010, served in an English pint glass. Pours clear pale golden with a frothy white head. The head has good retention and leaves a decent amount of lace. The nose is primarily floral, with zesty citrus notes. The flavour is bitter up front with sharp piney hops. This mellows considerably towards the finish. The finish is long and quite bitter, with notes of pine. Throughout, the flavour is a bit honey sweet. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture. Overall, this is a nice IPA in the English style. It has a very nice hoppy aroma and bitter finish. 2010-08-04
