A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Pours a clear golden color with a white head, not lasting. Aroma’s: Grassy hops, grain, malty sweet, fruity sour retronasal. Flavor is light sweet & medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes with a nice bitterness. Leans towards US IPA, but still unmistakably British.

Pale orange-gold in color with a soft white head. Light fruity ale with a typical english breadiness in the finish. Hop notes are orangey-citrusy. A refreshing IPA.

It’s super-hoppy! Very fresh, citrusy and with a touch of bitterness on the aftertaste. Low carbonation. Would be great on hot summer’s day. Not sure that I love it, but I certainly like it a whole lot.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria cask 12oz ($8): Pours an amber colour with barely any head, but plenty of lacing. Aroma is heavily into the citrus hops. Taste is mostly citrus hops. Malt backbone well done. Balance is generally good. This is more hoppy than one would expect from an IPA from the British Isles, but it is nothing close to hopslaughter. In any case, a good sessionable IPA this is. Very good mouthfeel, but I don’t know if the beer is responsible for it, or if the cask is.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 50cl bottle. Pours gold/orange with small bright white head. Decent lacing and fairly lively carbonation. Wonderful tropical fruit in the aroma, grapefruit and passionfruit come through, orange peel, floral notes, slightly sticky sugary sweetness. Taste is another hop explosion, full of zingy tropical notes, citrus tang, light pine resin, lovely smooth biscuity malt backbone to complement the brilliant hops. Lovely medium/full mouthfeel and refreshing bitterness to finish - a great IPA.

Pours a clear golden color. Off white head falls to a thin skim. Nose is a blend of light sweet malt, dry crisp hops. Taste is fairly malty IPA with some mlt hoppiness. Light / medium body and crip active carbonation.

500 ml bottle @ Gastropub Soho, Tampere. BBE 09.08.2012.
Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma of strong exotic fruits, hops and some sweet toffee. Flavour of sweet exotic fruits, honey, grass, bitter citrusy hops and some grapefruity notes. Medium bodied with a lingering bitter and citrusy finish. Honey tends to smoothen especially the bitterness here too much.
