A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Cask flight at Ginger Man in NYC. Light golden pour with a light white head that laces nicely. Very faint Earthy hop fragrance. Taste is Earthy hops, sweet roasted pale malt and biscuit. Thin but slippery in the mouth if that makes any sense. Itís velvety smooth. Piney hops linger in the palate. Nice but not great.

Testa bianca, cremosa, di media persistenza. Aroma floreale con note di agrumi. In bocca entra morbida, ma ma le note dolci vengono subito sovrastate da una luppolatura elegante. Buona aciditŗ. Finale secco.

Bottle 50cl, a clear golden beer with good head. Nose is very hopy on grape side. Aroma is resinous, bitter, medium sweet to low, astringent, lemony, some honey, low body, coconut notes, too citric.

A lot of my drinking mates rave about this beer, Iím not so keen. This review is of a hand pulled pint, poured into a UK sleeve on 2 Sep 2011 in one of my local pubs. This beer always seems to be slightly cloudy/hazy whenever I see or drink it, this pint was no exception. The thin white head on top didnít excite me either. The smell as youíd expect was of hops, floral ones with some hints of fruit too. The taste was also hoppy and with those same almost hidden fruits, some maltiness also hanging around below the surface but always being pushed down by the hop content. The body was well carbonated (for an English IPA) and felt quiet spritzy. Iíll never be a lover of IPAís, Iím a malt man rather than a hoppy one, but this isnít a bad beer, itís just not for me.

Bottle from LCBO. Very pale with tons of floating sediment all around. Beautiful aroma of tropical and citrus fruits, with a hint of grassy hops. Taste is a mix of good and bad flavours. The good: citrus and tropical fruits, and some grassy hops (what the aroma leads you to expect). The bad: hay, farmyard, and soap. Body is too thin. Overall drinkable, but better (cheaper) IPAs are available.

Bottle. hazy orange with a steay white head. Nose is herbal, lemon, lime, earwax, sticky sweetness. Flavor is similar, hops are pretty faded. Had the Halycon on tap at CK in DC and it was fresh as hell but this shit seems way done. Light citrus, but mainly just grainy malt.

Hazy honey- gold pour with 2 fingers head. Piney bitter aroma balanced with caramel malt. Grassy with bitter pine up front, light caramel sweetness. Medium body good lacing. A good quaff.

neongolden (1147) - LinkŲping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 7, 2012
(500mL from LCBO) Poured cool, a pale yellow-gold somewhat cloudy with a thin white head. Aroma dominated by hops, particularly grapefruit rind, a bit of grass and pine, faint malt sweetness. Flavour is bitter, herbal and grapefruit pith, light grainy, fruity malt, peppery on the finish with a mineral chalk character. Mouthfeel is fairly light and overcarbonated. This is a fairly refreshing but not terribly complex IPA, half-way between an English and American style.

DerWeg (1583) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
Slightly cloudy and clear pale yellow-gold with very fine white head. Better when poured hard to release some carbonation, itís a little bitter! The grapefruit-pith and grassy bitter taste does not let up, and the aroma shows a little of the same fresh attitude with a rounder profile. Thereís lots of subtle flavors under that, pale fruits and a bit of mineral. Certainly herbal and drying on the palate but class act.

Bendrixian (1475) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
pours sort of cloudy with a frothy head and has a really yellow colour. aroma of pine cones but has a really pilsner like aroma. not very complex aroma and sort of reduced. tastes bitter, medium bodied (at best) very leafy flavour. lacks malts and overall a boring beer for the style. has a chalky finish.
