COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available bottled.
A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Pours clear gold, lively in the glass, lasting fizzy white head. Huge oily resinous hops on the nose. Hard lemon zest, orange zest and grapefruit. So aromatic you can smell it from across the room. Fruit (more lemon, orange, pineapple and lime) in the body, full of flavour. Also a twist of cinnamon spice. Medium bodied, excellent hoppy, fruit/spice finish.

Bottle version (completely different from the cask version - should be split out). A good beer but kind of one dimensional. Hops hops and more hops. What’s the big deal here? For some reason there’s a spate of US-style IPAs brewed in Britain that are massively over-hyped, and don’t stand up at all compared to US classic IPAs like Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Anchor Liberty, anything by Stone, Lagunitas, Goose Island etc.

Bottle; pours a cloudy straw color with a white head; has a tropical fruit aroma with hints of yeast and grass; taste starts light sweet with some malt and then become a bitter citrus; has a bitter, wet finish; good IPA

Flaska olearys örebro. Ljusgul kulör. Doft av ananas och passionsfrukt. Lätt fräsch och frisk smak med mycket tropisk frukt.

Cornfield (5544) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2014
Nice looking beer, yellow bodied with a creamy, sustained head. The aroma is lemon and zest over a soft grainy sweetness. The flavor is warm bread covered by tastes of lemon, zest, and grapefruit. The bitterness, while not strong, is pleasingly steady and seems more prominent after the swallow. Nice dry, bitter finish. Worth repeating.

Hazy golden color, small white head. Mild hoppy aroma, some fruits. Bitter taste with unpleasant finish. Less than medium bitterness. Thin body, average carbonation. Overrated?

eduardovl (940) - SWITZERLAND - NOV 27, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 500ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a pale and clear yellow color making a medium very bubbled, fluffy soapy white head. Medium to low retention and lots of spotty and soapy lacings left in the glass S: Great in the nose. Wonderful hops. Piny, herby and citric. I would dare to say that the hops profile is quite American. Remind me Citra and Simcoe. Very malty too. Similar to Maris Otter but a bit more crispy T: Very malty upfront with strong notes of pine and citrus hops. Moderate hops bitterness. An English IPA after all. Quite dry and crispy. Not totally made of Maris Otter but it dominates it M: Light and watery body. Medium carbonation. Malty and piny aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Excellent English IPA with an American influence [ BA Review @ 10/19/2013 ]
