3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On cask at Firkin Fest at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul, Minnesota. Had a light golden/orange pour with some light citrus and hop bitterness with a little grapefruit in the finish. Well blended brew but was very under-carbonated at the festival. Pretty good but the carbonation took away quite a bit making the brew a bit too fruity.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. Clear golden pour with a bubbly White head. Aroma is mainly citrus focused American hops, a sharp zesty lemon touch, unripe pineapple and orange. Taste is bitter, very hoppy. Still citrus, orange and pineapple. Also has a malty feel, basic malts and a hint og breadiness, the malts also give a large sweetness. Slightly astringent in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask. Amber with a steady white head. Hoppy and malty on the nose. Citrus hops with zesty, grapefruit notes are balanced with wheat malts. There is honey on the palate which sweetens the otherwise bitter tang palate.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a decidedly hazy but brilliant sunshine yellow with plenty of lacing. Lightly sour and grassy aroma - pilsen malt? Tastes of pilsen malt and grassy hops (surprise!) but with a touch of spice. Light, creamy mouthfeel and moderate to well carbonated. Light and extremely refreshing, and ever so drinkable. Yum!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle bought at Aeon in Skyline Plaza, Tsuen Wan.
Cloudy hazy golden honey colour with traces of yeast sediments; Two finger head and crumpet white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with notable slight carbonation; Very fragrant and sweet aroma of fresh grapefruit which can be smelt a feet away, with ale malt, orange, honey, faint jackfruit and light lime; Medium sweet taste of full ale malt, with grapefruit, dry biscuits, yeast, liquorices, lime and herbal hops; Mid to light body, crisp and slightly slick palate; Taste profile is dry, crisp and biscuity full ale malt. Mouth feel is rich, augmentedby good wheat crispness and moderately strong liquorices. Grapefruit taste is sharp but not as fresh as the aroma. It’s getting there… Hoppiness is very fragrant grapefruit and light orange in nose, strong herbal hops and not so fleshy grapefruit taste. Liquorices is moderate, good balance to sweetness for a chop licking astringent finish;Very dry after taste, crispy and pretty refreshing to mouth.
Comments: A typical and traditional IPA - fragrant grapefruit nose, very malty, good balance of sweetness with bitterness - plus good dose of wheaty crispness and yeasty dryness. It may not be adventurous as contemporary micro IPAs, still a well make and all round solid pleaser for any seasons. Good stuff!
