A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Bottle, Waitrose, Ponteland. Pale straw, thin but long lasting white head, LOADS if fresh citrus hops, delicious! Quite simply a crackin’ IPA!

Bottle bought at Geers. English-style IPA, herbal and spicy dominates the fruitiness. Quite dry and light bitter. Good stuff, although I prefer the West-Coast IPA's.

Slightly murky, good lacing. Aroma is citrus hop dominated with a nice smooth taste. The hops finish clean in your mouth. No weird aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 500ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a pale and clear yellow color making a medium very bubbled, fluffy soapy white head. Medium to low retention and lots of spotty and soapy lacings left in the glass S: Great in the nose. Wonderful hops. Piny, herby and citric. I would dare to say that the hops profile is quite American. Remind me Citra and Simcoe. Very malty too. Similar to Maris Otter but a bit more crispy T: Very malty upfront with strong notes of pine and citrus hops. Moderate hops bitterness. An English IPA after all. Quite dry and crispy. Not totally made of Maris Otter but it dominates it M: Light and watery body. Medium carbonation. Malty and piny aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Excellent English IPA with an American influence [ BA Review @ 10/19/2013 ]

500ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Toffee and fresh white bread serve as a base for strong tropical fruit and pine hops aromas, with pineapple and honeydew melon especially prominent. An initial touch of pine is overcome by potent grapefruit and pineapple hops flavours. These last into the mid-palate, where they are joined by a touch of mango and some white bread and caramel malt notes. Mango and melon hops notes bring a fruitier touch to the finish, and there is a lingering pine aftertaste. I have wanted to try this beer for quite a while, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. A nice, razor-sharp IPA, with an enjoyable breadth of flavour.

One of the better IPAs that is more of the English style. Not as much honey as Hopslam - but it’s noticeable.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2015 Cloudy yellow-orange color with white head. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit. Also that sweet juice feeling that reminds me of Simcoe. Taste is fruity, hoppy, bitter, with just the right amount of bitterness and just the right amount of residual sweetness. Medium carbonation, good refreshing mouthfeel. A very nice reference IPA. Maybe that intense juice feeling is too heavy, but you don?t feel it on the tongue too much, it?s just in the aroma.
