4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ComradeK (732) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - JUL 23, 2012
500ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Toffee and fresh white bread serve as a base for strong tropical fruit and pine hops aromas, with pineapple and honeydew melon especially prominent. An initial touch of pine is overcome by potent grapefruit and pineapple hops flavours. These last into the mid-palate, where they are joined by a touch of mango and some white bread and caramel malt notes. Mango and melon hops notes bring a fruitier touch to the finish, and there is a lingering pine aftertaste. I have wanted to try this beer for quite a while, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. A nice, razor-sharp IPA, with an enjoyable breadth of flavour.

Andsled remembers when there was a simple system for classifying hotels. If you were looking for the best ones, you needed a five star hotel. Then they decided to build super-hotels with jaw-dropping architecture and luxury so they decided to add stars to the system. In a world of five star beers, Jaipur is a six. It is the best draught beer andsled has tasted. It’s not just a case of adding more hops for extra flavour. There’s no art in that - just heavy handedness. Here the balance of flavours in every department is stunning (and at 5.9% you could get stunned as a newt). Thornbridge are experimenters and tinkerers but andsled hopes they will leave this brew alone - it is a masterpiece.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Gramoit (252) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 2, 2012
Top class drop this! Pours Yellow (lighter colour than expected) with a finger head that recedes quickly into a thin lacing. Mostly citrus hops on the nose. Taste is brilliant. very hoppy with some lingering bitterness, but not too bitter, and a little sweetness of honey that I thought was a great touch. I wish I bought more than one of these!

Dobre piwo z chmielową nutą. Intensywnie pachnie polnymi kwiatami oraz skoszoną trawą. Piękny wachlarz smakowy od chmieli goryczkowych po aromatyczne. Piana spora z charakterystycznym rondem. Polecam to IPA
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 a_cross (346) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2013
Bottle; amber, clear, thin smooth white head; lovely hoppy aroma, all tropical fruits; well carbonated; soft tropical fruit and citrus flavour - orange and soft grapefruit in particular; lots of hops in the dry, moderately bitter finish; incredibly well balanced despite the massive hop presence - it manages to be both delicate and powerful at the same time; really very good indeed.
4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 TroughMonkey (6) - ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2006 does not count
The first thing I noticed was the hazy gold colour, but didn’t allow that to mar my judgement of it’s other attbributes.... A truly wonderous aroma, flowery hops, spice, grapefuit, lemon & other citrus fruits all jostling for attention on the nose. The palate was bitter/sweet, clean & rather light, following onto a crisp dry finish. Very satisfying & thirst quenching, but not a session beer at 5.9

Cask at The Dandelion.
Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap that coats the glass with sheets of chunky, soapy lacing.
Delicate floral hop aroma that is nicely balanced by a toasted biscuit malt backbone. Slightly earthy with hints of grass and pine needle as well as some faint citrus peel. Slightly creamy with a nice graham cracker/biscuit malt character countering the earthy/floral notes.
Creamy medium body that is fuller than expected with a crisp floral hop bite up front that isn’t too bitter, lingering over the malt backbone into a slight dry finish. Slightly earthy without being cloying or too dry or bitter with subtle sweet citrus notes and a perfect biscuity malt backbone. Although there is a prominent malt presence underneath, it isn’t overpowering and the hops are given plenty of room to shine through. All of the hop flavor without the tongue-coating dryness. Perfectly balanced yet this beer is one of the hoppiest British beers I’ve ever had. The drinkability of this beer is off of the charts. I drank the first imperial pint so quickly that I needed to order a second to go with my meal.
I love real ales on cask but am not the biggest fan of English IPAs. This beer was a perfect example of both. I highly recommend that you seek this beer out on cask if you have the chance.
