A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

I pretty much knew what to expect from this beer, and it didn’t disappoint. Nice flowery aroma and rather more full-bodied than many citrus beers. Finish lingered without being too acetic. Very pleasant.

In bottiglia all’O Connor; una buona IPA, ribevuta in cask all’Open mi è piaciuta meno

Cask at the CP&K. It pours light hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is full of citrus: mango, orange, passion fruit and apricot. The taste is pine, caramel sweetness, resin, hay, straw, full-on Kumquat, grapefruit, mango, orange and passion fruit, with a nice bitter finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Nice.

Draught at Monks Porter House. Really hazy light orange liquid with medium white head. Aroma of earthy and herbal hops, grass, tropical fruit, biscuit and grass. Taste is very light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of tangerine and British hops. Bit low bitterness. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Drinkable.

Tap @ Schoukjelleren. Have been looking forward to trying this since ever since I saw Oz (from Oz and James) blind-tasting it at a local train station somewhere in the UK. Anyhow, this is a light clouded pale yellow-golden beer with a nice and extremely lacing just off-white head. The aroma is unfortunately a bit disappointing considering I have been longing to taste this for almost 2 years, but it has a light note of citrus, some nice malty notes and hints of both orange and apples. Actually, it also reminds me quite a lot of a white wine in the aroma! Not sure what to make of that, but it really does. Average carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a light oily to creamy actually mouthfeel. Lots of citrus in the flavor, kinda lemony-like actually, with notes of bitter flowers and it’s also light earthy. Well balanced and all in all this was not bad.

Pint at Wetherspoons in Reading. Well formed head over a pale golden beer. Light but indistinct citrus aroma. Nice, sweet, citrusy taste with a hint of honey. One of the better English pale beers. Not truly exceptional (I’d still rather have a La Chouffe), but decent.

Dimmig guldfärgad med långvarigt vitt skum. Citron är dominant, men också bär den spår i doften av persika, apelsin och blommighet. Citrus, rosvatten, honung och örter i smaken. Medelbeska.

Off keg at the exeter arms derby. Tasty basically, not too fizzy and quite hoppy. Well nice.

IPA inglesa, que entra muy bien, con sabores cítricos y un leve amargor. Al final deja un pequeño toque aceitoso.
