3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask conditioned at The Coach & Horses, Dronfield, Derbyshire. Gold with white head. the Thornbridge signature of citric, bittersweet, grapefruity hops is to the fore here with a light, dry malty background. A very decent beer indeed.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Sheffield Tap. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is zesty orange, tangerine, Irn Bru, wood and some urine. The taste is pine, oat, grainy, grass, light sweetness, orange and tangerine with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and pretty drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2010-08-02. Lightly hazy yellow with a small foamy white head. Flavour is mild, very light bitterness throughout, subtle mild fruit with whispers of citrus, hints at lemon. 6+ Aroma is a bit interesting, mild lemon, lightly yeasty, muted straw. 6+ Smooth average palate. Mild but super drinkable, this might score more highly on a day by itself rather than in comparison to its Thornbridge brethren. Cask at CASK Pub and Kitchen, London

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned handpump Coach & Horses Dronfield. A really attractive bright gold coloured beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma has lemony hops and a bit of toffee or caramel. The taste has good bitterness and again that hint of caramel. Good but lacking any wow factor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[3242-20100802] Cask. Odd herbal yeast and hops in the aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Herbal notes continue in the flavour with mild leafy hops. Medium body. Not as wonderful as hoped, a little disappointing.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin creamy head. Hopped with a high fruity sweetness - and too sugary to comfortably enjoy.

(Cask at The Rake, Southwark, London, 9 Aug 2008) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, mainly grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus (orange, grapefruit), apricots and a generous, citrussy bitterness in the finish. Very nice, very drinkable.

A Mes rate: Cask at the White Horse.
Considering this followed a cask Black Albert and a draught Gonzo anyone could be forgiven for not thinking too much of this but you know what, it’s pretty bloody good. A shining example of quality English brewing like most beers from this brewer. Aroma is full of massive peachy, grapefruit hops with some perfect sweetish biscuity malt waaay in the background. Slightly hazy gold appearance with a very thin off white head. Flavour is a superb balance of grassy and aromatic U.S. hops with some wonderful earthy English malt. Delicate yet fantastic floral and bitter hop finish. Four ratings... four 3.8’s. Can’t be bad.
