Cask. Hazy red gold. Thick light yellow head. Spicy nose. Can't quite place my finger on it. Raisins. Christmas cake. Cinnamon and cake in the mouth. Tastes like hot cross buns. Sugary sweet finish with a little bitter.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask conditioned handpump Craft Beer Co N1 London 04/03/13. A reddy hint to this light brown beer with an off-white head and lacing. This is good. Cinnamon as noted by most, but most definitely husky coconut. This spicing works perfectly and, although it’s a dreadful word, it’s very smooth. Tasty tasty.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[cask at Craft N1] Pours pretty flat, generally fairly hazy reddish amber. Aroma of gingerbread. Fairly gentle spice on the flavour – more gingerbread, nutmeg. Finish fades somewhat, but leaves a decent bready aftertaste. Trying to think what it reminded me of, eventually came up with panetone, slightly spiced, slightly fruity, winter flavoured cake

Craft Islington. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, little white head. Softish dry palate. Very light carbonation. Touch of milky sweetness in the malt. Sprinkle of nuts. Trace of orange and the dry sweet cinnamon. Finishes dry with a touch of coconut. Lot of people really liked this but it did not quite coalesce for me.

Cask @ CBC Islington. The pour’s deep amber with a small white head. The aroma’s lemon peel, sweet sherbet dessert, a bit of orange. Mild spice rack, hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. The taste is more cinnamon. Nostalgic teddy graham candy, cinnamon toast crunch breakfast cereal. More orange peel, general citrus. Light sprucy hops. Honeyed brown bread, hints of chocolate. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, I really liked this. Very enjoyable, unique stuff.

Cask at CBC, Islington. It pours a slightly hazy golden/copper colour. Aroma is light and gently spiced with notes of chamomile and citrus. Taste is similar, lightly hoppy with citrus, fruits and chamomile. Light body with soft carbonation. Not an in-your-face beer for sure but nicely balanced. Quite enjoyable.
