Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

On tap at Olympen, april 22nd 2014. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma is grassy with tropical fruit, crisp, taste of grapes, grapefruit, apricot, a good showcase of Nelson. Good bitterness too, a bit weak body and short aftertaste doesn’t do the beer justice, but overall it’s a nice thirst quencher.

I really like this beer. Light gold with a small white head and some lacing. Gorgeous aroma of tropical fruit. Flavours of grapefruit, passion fruit, kiwi, nicely set off with a creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter finish. Well balanced, and a winner for me as I like the hops that give this degree of exotic fruit.

Washed out yellow pour, quick white head. Nose is grapefruit and pine resin. Bitter. mid is acidic grapefruit peel (where is the pulp?). finish is strikingly bitter and crisp. Interesting pale.

Bottle, 500ml. Clear yellow with visible sediment and a crispy offwhite head. Sweet, grainy aroma with hints of citrics, sour apples, straw, green grapes and pine resin. Medium to light bodied. Dry and astringent with medium to flat carbonation. Sweet and moderately bitter. Spicy, but one-dimensional. Finish is almost non-existant. Refreshing but nothing special.

Bottle, 500ml. A golden beer with a lot of sediments, a medium to small foamy head that fades away after a couple of minutes and a nice lacing. Aroma is of citrics and wheat. Taste is bitter, especially at the end. It has faint carbonation and some astringency. Aftertaste is strong and slightly alcoholic. It somewhat lacks character and it is not very dense.

Long lasting foam with good lacing. Nice citrusy aroma with a hint of kiwi. Taste starts a bit sweet and finishes very bitter. Well balanced beer!

Bottle, bb 1-2015. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma: spruce, pineapple, citrus, sweat. Taste: lemon, honey, resin, white grapes, slightly floral, grains. Medium bitter, somewhat thin, creamy mouthfeel, dry finish. Refreshing, could use a bit more bite.

Scottish interpretation of an American pale ale with thin, white head and golden blonde colour. Flowery aroma of rhubarb, caramel, honey, sage, berries; malt sweetish taste, some dried fruits, orange touch, fruitier in the middle and finishing in a herbal, flowery, quite long hoppiness.

(bottle) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, grass and catpiss, slightly doughy pale malt in the background. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly doughy malt character with loads of citric, grapefruity hops, accompanied by some grassy accents towards the mildly bitter finish. A bit perfumed, has something of a (cheaper) Sauvignon Blanc from NZ. 11.VIII.14
