Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

Bottle - very light lemon, very clear with small white head - medium / heavy carbonation. Tropical fruit aroma, ok on tongue and in mouth. Tart grapefruit tasting.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2015 Bottle from Beersínímore. But Iím not sure thereís in it whatís advertised. Very thin throughout, with an aroma and a taste that I only know from slightly hoppy industrial lager. I can only hope something went wrong with this bottle. (3/2/5/2/9)

Re-rated. Still an odd beer, but definitely better than my first. Very bitter, but rather half-baked in any other respect.

I eat a kiwi a day and so far their scent alludes me. So a deScription of them in abundance puzzles me. Admittedly itís a fruity scent headed vaguely towards citrus. A golden pale ale with thin top. The mouthful is certainly fruity rather than malty as one would expect. But it is not astringent as some hoppy ales are. Phrased differently it not crisp or sharp. The edge is on the back of the palate. Overall, good but.

Nose is fruity, malty, flavor is grapefruit, orange peel, light malt, light spices, bit watery. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bitter. Medium body, dry texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing, simple summer beer, aroma is a bit weak.

Poured a generous amount of foamy off-white. Has a pale golden appearance. Very good lacing. Aromas are very hoppy, strong citrus and fruity aroma, orangey. The flavours are abundant as well, with the hops very much present. Some more citrus type flavours, mango, orange peel, sweet malts. Very nice and smooth mouthfeel. A perfectly subdued hoppy presence makes this one a brew to have again.
